That's depressing shows again that ideas are worth nothing, it's in the execution. I presented the same idea to a german cornflakes manufacturer years ago ( coffein enriched flakes and other breakfast food), they tried to do it but failed.

Interesting, so what if I have no team but a very good idea ? Should I apply so you can match teams with ideas ?
Mostly like in Bioscience they are buying patents ( P&G ) so that is not really comparable to web startups
Pretty easy to implement in any application just let the app wait for 1 minute before actually sending anything and show the user an undo button.

Too many old examples,of course the West produced Newton and the fundamentals of modern science but if the West disappeared today China, Japan, South Korea, India and all the other countries would not stop scientific research.
To get basic research done a country has to be rich, in a poor country only applied science gets any budget. And basic research has been a state financed thing for the most parts of history. Or if you look back a bit more a privately financed gentleman hobby.
The table has turned now in many societies there is enough money,talent and a society liberal enough to allow a real science environment. That is brilliant thing because every new researcher speeds up development and benefits the whole.

Pretty easy to guess why, none of the things reported about cuill points to better search results but all the things point to faster indexing and crawling of sites, so greylock and all the other VC are speculating on a big buyout from Google, Yahoo or Microsoft.
