I've heard Canada is like that. I've had similar experience in South Africa, even in private health care, but I definitely had the impression that my doctor somewhat cared about me, especially after going to them for a few years

The first thing I do when hitting a job board is to try to filter it to jobs which are Remote or in my location. Everything else is just noise. This would be a lot more useful if you added a location filter (city and country - I live in NL, which is small enough that the city doesn't always matter)

The results showed that colour had a large impact on people's guesses for some pictures, but for others there was very little difference. For me, colour didn't actually impact the guess much since I don't know when colour photography became mainstream, and even then, you get B&W pictures even today.

The hardest part for me was having no context of where the pictures were taken (although I should have guessed in the US). The picture of the farmers & the horse could have been taken today in many parts of Africa.

But does he still have to use your product? Although it’s better for him to have a more varied diet I thought kids mostly grew out of this fussiness. It would be terrible if he became dependent on your product into adulthood.

Sounds like Windows with their UWP apps. Calculator also used to take 5 secs to load. It’s down to about a second now but still baffles me to think that MS management are ok with that

Not just Amsterdam, the whole of the Netherlands is like that. But more than that, there is the cultural aspect that cyclists and pedestrians are the number 1 priority on the road, then cars. None of these fancy hi-tech solutions work if the drivers don't care, and the laws don't protect cyclists.

I'm still getting up to speed on C++ (& ASM) so forgive the ignorance - are the differences you're referring to all the cleanup code that the vector does in the destructor?

As a side note, you're not calling delete[] on the array code, but I suppose it makes little difference if you take the vector cleanup into account.

Being an English speaker living in The Netherlands, I rely heavily on Google Translate. Works near perfect for formal/semi-formal writing. Short form sentences & phrases (as you might find in casual emails), not so much.

My major issue switching to FF is still the lack of a Chrome-style translate function. I live in a country where I don't speak the language, so rely heavily on translating. Copy/pasting into Google translate is too slow for general browsing, and being able to switch between translated and un-translated near instantly means that I can still navigate the site when inevitably the translation breaks the JS navigation. Switching also allows me to very slowly learn the language. I'd love to use FF, but this is still a blocker
