heating up is normal, that cannot be avoided. it should become laggy, but you just have very little RAM (I assume 16 GB?) So most models are too big with other stuff running.

At the time, the job market was quite different. But even now, I would assume it is very difficult to get good information to do this, similary as it is difficult to have people fill out accurate dating profiles. Both the company as well as applicants have at least a partial incentive to not be truthful, omit some things, or just write what they think they are like, as opposed to what it is really like.
what is this garbage readme? Reads like you llm'd the crap out of it, and I still don't know if it's something real or slopware
TrollStore is just for old devices. On devices which natively support alternative stores, enabling something like altstore the first time is annoying (because apple makes it so) but after that it's not a problem and doesn't need to recertificate afaik.
It's all a question of price, based on the article. And not planning how much it takes to start up. In any case it's also not feasible to keep a plant on standby, just in case you need it one day.
What is the easily accessible part? Just that they are on one website? At first I thought there would be more explanation or other addons.
Because it explicitly has tooling for custom boot objects etc, and stated by asahi developers, maybe also apple people they know.
Sometimes, sure, but as someone new, you have no power to change it. Department head might, I cannot really say. In addition, I believe funding agencies have the bigger role, and they also have such requirements.
If they were real about risk, they would have to block a lot more models.
There are not if you are working in it. Some grants for example include provisions that you publish in tier so and so journals. If that is the case, there might be one of those that is open-access / independent, but more likely there is not.
When their jobs don't depend on it. (as in it is evaluated for hiring and promotion) Ofc it differs depending on discipline.
You don't need money for the UG either. You might need money for operating expenses later etc, but that's not what OP complained about and should be similar for an LLC. (Depending on type of business, location etc)
There's other types of companies. Like UG or freelancers or GbR.
US unionization tbh sounds a bit like works council election in Germany, as that happens per business / vendor etc and fe in case of delivery apps or Tesla, Amazon etc is met with hostility
it is possible to use apple gpu with containers. either with podman + runkit + recent mesa or with recent vllm-metal from docker https://www.docker.com/blog/docker-model-runner-vllm-metal-m...
tbh, the last 2-3 version bumps, main change has been that they take longer, and cost more/have more usage restrictions. (combined with new tooling, which eats a ton of tokens)
iphone mini. sure you could argue nobody wants it. i agree most other things there were just old, renamed, folded into sth else or obsolete etc.
isn't the issue more that this also needs to be included by default in Windows?
Does it use gpu support on mac? At least when running setup, it said cpu only.
that has nothing to do with it. you can see the same thing in other conflicts. it's just more convenient to look away.
It’s not easy to build a good tui though. Like fe compare Claude code and opencode. Opencode is an atrocious approximation of a window system as a tui.
AFAIK it has enough precedent (also depending a bit on jurisdiction, but you only need one) but the interpretations of what that/the license should cover differ. Like f e if you wanted to argue driver devs would have to open-source their firmware blobs or their proprietary driver loaded by a kernel shim you will have a tough time and prob lose
They have some of that. Password sync is free for example though. (If private enough for you) and they have email relay and vpn as a paid feature
You can also just do tab groups in ffx
Under any current / capitalist system by design it won’t be different because managers/capital want to increase gains, which contradicts allowing you to keep the gains.
So perfect if ppl want their partner to be molded a certain way
it's telling that he only sees effectiveness in what he wants. these rules are there for environmental protection, and in a worst case scenario, a fine is not gonna bring back the clean soil, or whatever was done.
Not cynical, realistic
The immediate no for scientific collaborations is zotero support being paid only. If it was just one user, sure they could decide to pay. But no way I am convincing others to sign up. (If this is somehow possible without paying while not ‚syncing‘ it’s not obvious)
I'd really like them to bury this once and for all. It's really exhausting that it's like an undead zombie that always comes back.
