I think it’s a jokey term for when you use ai to copy an existing project
Ah nice! I enjoyed trying out your product when it was launched which called this app to mind. Commendable attitude!
Maybe a little harsh yes. But compare these screenshots of the two products/features
Did you try the shader.com shader editor where you stack shaders and effects in layers? V similar approach!
I heard the term used on the shoptalk podcast about cloudflare slopforking wordpress!
looks like a slopfork of the fairly new https://shaders.com - frustrating for them!
yeah I didn't notice the CM wasn't out til september and searched for it too.
The I wasted time reading (very mixed!!) reviews for the ones I'd not read so I just pulled the trigger on Revelation Space and will see how I get on!
I found the sci-fi tag interesting and a managable 32 books!
Yeah civ VI on my iPad with an apple pencil kills flights

Phil Gyford just posted about "Trying out eight macOS alternatives to Lightroom Classic to see if I could switch to one of them." which covers some of those points

Internal Revenue Service for anyone else wondering!
I made this! Excited to be featured on HN again, and thanks for all the nice comments. I built it for myself really but happy others enjoy it. It uses nuxt/supabase/netlify functions. Happy to answer any questions either here or on my contact form https://www.blackspike.com/contact/
ha same! I just last week started building an app for myself where I can cross post to mastodon and bluesky (& twitter is in progress, threads doesn't seem to have an api yet). https://grater.app (screenshot at https://imgur.com/lyefPGv )
He’s an excellent follow on mastodon (and Twitter)

They donate money and resources to blender! https://www.blender.org/press/apple-joins-blender-developmen...
Seems very much like Figma's FigJam https://www.figma.com/figjam/
Just tried this on a screen recording I made, really simple way to cut out boring bits e.g loading/waiting times, mousing etc. Great, I'll use this again!
It's just the author's dry, tongue-in-cheek British humour. He's not really attacking anything – just a bit of fun using English instead of American English.
Us regular human beings call this 'fun' if that's any help to you?
Really impressed with Nuxt 3, much faster with Vite and tons of devx improvemnts.
Also very much enjoying MDC https://content.nuxtjs.org/guide/writing/mdc to embed components in Markdown, much like https://mdxjs.com/
I'm trying out supabase db & auth for a side project and I'm very impressed so far.
I would love to have a usage-based pricing tier, as once I'm live I doubt I'll have enough users to merit $25/mo but I would still like to pay for daily backups etc
VS Code added that feature too recently, very nice addition https://code.visualstudio.com/updates/v1_44#_timeline-view

I was reading this article yesterday: 'The best 3D modelling software in 2022'
As a blender studio subscriber & hobbyist, I'm so grateful such incredible software has no barrier to entry, especially for creatives in developing countries.
You can see this reflected in this great video of the worldwide blender community from last years blender conference https://youtu.be/uEjmbsiflMU?list=PLa1F2ddGya_8Wzpajwu1EtiS8...
