I have a relative with glioblastoma who could see his granddaughter born if he extends his life a while. Thanks a lot for sharing!

I was planning to implement the same thing. Happy to see there is a way to quickly check where to go instead of Reddit or when a community is private.
For those interested in this, I recommend also checking Immersed VR. It's not standalone (you still need a PC somewhere) but it works great. I can not wait until we have devices with better optics!
$83/mo or around $994 annually is crazy way too much for me. I hope them the best because I love that kind of content and want it to be more popular, but I will wait until a better priced option comes.
I'm a user of Immersed (an VR for productivity app) and I use to code frequently.
I wanted QPro to be a success. I expected at least a reasonable bump in resolution. What was released is just disappointing and I can not justify paying that price point. I would go for Pico4 before of QPro.
Why shouldn't people or companies be able to move where they can grow, prosper or have rules according to their values or projects? Curiously, when we talk about taxes the focus is often in the country that is harboring people instead the one that made itself unattractive.
Than can be done with less taxes than the average europeans one. It is also debatable which of the estates attributed roles can't be done better by private companies.
I am really surprised by the HN community. I wasn't expecting people to downvote an user who politely expressed his point of view just because theirs is the opposite.
Cyprus is part of the EU and have the same law system (they were a British colony)
Congrats. It is a curious plugin. I am not sure if I want to substitute my fzf one, but I found the video interesting. Also, loved a few things about your setup. Do you have a open neovim configuration?
I would love to know how to do it with Linux/Ubuntu. I tried with OBS and always run into a bunch of issues when trying to create something beyond a basic scene.
Before switching to Firefox, I previously used Internet Explorer, which had no tabs support. In an era of frequent pop-ups, your desktop ended being a mess.
It was annoying, but that is what I was used to. Then Firefox came and allowed to have all your browsing in the same window, without polluting the taskbar.
In my case, I clearly remember that tabs were the reason to switch into Firefox.
Thanks for your answer, byoung2. I have been working remotely a similar number of years so I hope I can sort that filter.
Thanks too for the tip as I have not considered it. I did not know about gotomeeting. I am going to install and test after I click the reply button.
I share the "being a remote-first company" screener too and I expect to dodge that "bullet" :). I have the concept of what kind of company I want to join very clear... what really worries me is passing their filters. I have no problem with the initial screening in my country... but this is the first time that I face global competition!
Thanks, cimmanom, this list is definitely helpful. I noticed that you mentioned communication twice! I will work harder on improving my communication skills meanwhile.
I would pay for the learning process. The price would depend on topic depths. If you share the lessons titles I would have no problem in giving numbers.
It seems like the cache link I previously pasted does not allow to click on deeper links on the site. Sorry. At least it helps to have a quick view to the content.
I am getting a 509 Bandwith Exceeded error. The sites is still accesible via http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:jNN8m0q...
It is nice to see Matrix in HN: this project needs more visibility.
In a world dominated by Slack, which removes privacy/history control from users and place walls, Matrix is the promise to have a better open scenario than IRC was.
I am crossing my fingers. I hope with all my heart to this technology to flourish.
Release note is not yet ready but they are announcing it in the website: https://www.ubuntu.com/.
This release got a little bit delayed because of an unexpected bug that have been solved and tested in the same day.
Good job and congratulations to Canonical and associated devs!
There have not been a release announce yet, but they are updating docs.
Please, consider help seeding the torrents.
Its a good opportunity to seed the torrents. I am already on it.
This are the download images but the official announcement have not yet occured
Currently this is currently pointing to the beta 2, not the LTS.
The number of injured have been reported by the Catalan officials, which benefits from enlarge the amount. Maybe the number is true. I will remain skeptic until information from several sources is provided.
I am not excusing neither of the behaviors: both violents and not professional policemen are doing wrong. All your text is based not in what I said, but in yours interpretations of my words
I am adding references for the women issue too.
I am uploading it so you can see it. (Nice downvote before letting me prove my words :) )
The woman was not injured by police: she had an accident with the stairs going to vote.
There are videos with the attack to the police. At the end, there are violent people with the pacifist voters and not professional policemen too.
EDIT: Evidence asked, here it is https://youtu.be/wmLTRluQm94
EDIT 2: I was asked for source about the women and people manipulating pictures. Two sources here: https://twitter.com/arb149/status/914401352230621184/video/1 http://www.larazon.es/espana/difunden-en-twitter-imagenes-fa...
Major version can make someone think nvim is still unstable. My experience is the opposite.
I have being using it for 2-4 years (can't remember exactly) and got the same 0 problems I run into Vim. Earlier versions required you to recompile NeoVim to enable new features for plugins.
Yesterday I installed NeoVim in my new laptop and it was a smooth experience: Installed it using Ubuntu package manager, installed Vim-Plug for managing plugins, copied my old init.vim (or .vimrc), run vim and everything in order.
I am really happy with NeoVim. I faced no problem with it that Vim could not resolve but I know the insides being a better ecosystem for core and plugins developers, so I will stick with it.
And it is. If you perform some API Governance in your company, odds are that they are performed with Swagger. RAML and Blueprint are losing adoption.
Thanks for the article, I loved how they solved the "how do we propertly documment hypermedia APIs" question that I get asked in each Meetup.
I think there is a little error in the article. In the "Request Format" example the request method should be PUT.
