It truly doesn't matter, given Musk waived due diligence. Unless the number of bots is enormous (think 75% or more) then it won't make a material difference.

Depending on your architecture, an API or rendering HTML is an implementation detail, rather than the meat of the application. Have your business logic elsewhere and have the API or controller endpoints call out to those and just do the business of rendering JSON or HTML in the controllers.

Sounds more like a great reason to stay away from some of the most chaotic traffic in the US until it can be considered safer. There are far, far more pedestrians in NYC than in Phoenix, and I do not trust a Waymo car to not hit some of them.

It absolutely was not the right choice for the UK (not just Britain, don't forget about Northern Ireland). The EU has definitely shown itself to be quick when it needs to be, and in general has improved life for the average person. There are nothing but downsides in the immediate and long-term future for the UK without the EU — these economic consequences are not easily solvable, and the Tories have not shown themselves capable of actually solving these problems.

The UK had a very privileged place in the EU before, and was able to punch above their weight. When they inevitably rejoin they certainly won't be able to hold that special status again.

Well, you say that it's one of the nicest companies to work in, but clearly not if 1/3 of their employees are willing to leave over a policy decision. Some of the employees that left had been there for over 15 years — it used to be a good place to work, but this made it untenable for them.

You could use NixOps[0] for Nix but I'm not sure you can directly compare Terraform and Guix/Nix? My set up involves Terraform for infrastructure and Nix for provisioning, and it's working for me so far.

On underground trains, you have to choose between air conditioning the platforms or the trains. It wouldn't be feasible (especially in old systems like New York or London) to do both because of the lack of ventilation (the hot air needs to go somewhere).

That's how it's taught at the college I go to. About half the class already had experience with PHP/MySQL, and were a bit horrified.

My philosophy of science teacher turned me onto this site last semester and it was really quite invaluable. The amount of thought and work that is put into each article is amazing, and it certainly helped me understand topics I would not have otherwise.

This concept is great for students especially. I'm lucky enough to have a job where I can set my own hours, so during the school year I can work about this much. It's nice to have some income, especially while working a job relevant to my field of study.

This hits the nail on the head for me. I'm a college student in the US right now, and drinking is a big part of the "college experience". I don't like drinking — that's not to say I don't every once in a while (think once every two months), I just don't really enjoy it like other people do. It makes me uncomfortable that I'd be around other people I potentially don't know without all my faculties.

I think it's just a control thing for me — I don't want to lose control of myself and do stupid things. Even normally, I'm super self-aware, and that'd just get worse with alcohol.

Alcohol is a prevalent part of a lot of lives — it's what a lot of people do to be sociable.

I have had a Jawbone UP for about 8 months, and I've actually found it much more useful for sleep tracking than activity tracking. The smart alarm feature is, well, smart and I do feel less groggy in the morning.

That being said, I would still like Apple to get into this market. I know that if they were, they would do it right the first time around.

Whoever first forked it probably just commented out, and then someone used that and so on.

I'm not a lawyer, but I believe that cases like the ACLU v. NSA will be able to strike down programs like this. But you're correct, unless Congress is moved to do something about it (which, given their track record, seems unlikely), we'll have to wait until the next election for a mentality shift.

You should be fine, there aren't many class/selector changes, AFAIK. You may need to do some JS fixes, but that's it.
