The billionaire class have different rights and opportunities. They have different tools in the financial and political system. They have more sway in the political system, and they can greatly impact how things play out. Is it a representative government? Yes. But currently capital allocation and mechanisms see to it that the representation and opportunities are limited, which is the entire problem caused by having such wealth disparity. It is thorn in the side of democracy, and antithetical to freedom.

The wealth gap; it is extremely unhealthy for a functioning society. It's kind of odd anyone has to spell it out unless your comment is (possibly) a rhetorical fishing expedition. I'm clearly not the only one that thinks this.

It's the gas turbine generators at the massive DCs causing the big issue. There are dozens of them. Not your typical historical DC/colo or even 5yr ago hyperscaler DC.

Yes, I think it connects to the mikrotik cloud automatically to setup a usable external DNS to your device, but I believe access to it is turned off by default unless you turn it on.

The other reason is for updates, it can check periodically for firmware updates.

Ubiquiti unifi has struggled to integrate routing as reliably and as well as the wireless and switching piece. Mikrotik router and unifi everything else has kind of been my go-to for at least 10 or 12y now.

So how this often works is you leave the distro itself alone per say, and then install user flatpaks. This gives you user level apps with the benefits of the immutable distro.

Outside of that there are commands to install packages directly and some things must be installed that way.

This is expected in any level of people management, you are constantly balancing conflicting desires and priorities.

I grew up in the US South where starting or ending a sentence with "honest/honestly" was very common.

Because of behavioral / cultural norms, you might be very openly friendly with big smiles around a business customer that really grates on your nerves, or very openly nice to a neighbor that you really wish would move away and take their 3am welding and grinding in their garage with them.

Saying "honest/honestly" was seen as a "inside baseball" situation, where you were dropping social pretenses to tell someone your true opinion on a person or situation or whatever.

This also gets used inside companies between senior staff / management / directors / etc, as: "Okay, company politics and nonsense aside, I am being vulnerable here for a second and telling you what I really think about a $thing at potentially great job/advancement risk to myself".

Can it be meaningless? Yes.

Can the person say "honestly" and lie? Yes.

It has uses.

Interestingly this also happens between humans with frequent communication, it is called linguistic convergence.
