I think this one has missed the point... Chad does everything he can to get people store their shit in his garage and is really proud that so many are using his garage.

must be awesome! if books start to be written like blog posts then.. oh well I have nothing to say, I will write a book about it.

Why? really why do you put this kind of article here?

The most frightening thing about this is the number of people that want a black list of names. what's the next step? stoning them in public, making them wear a special hat?

The job of coursera is to provide access to learning and there it should stop. Coursera should not provide certificate of any kind, most people go there to learn not to become certified on anything, Cheaters will go way if there is no certificate since their purpose is not to learn.

First congrats for the framework.

Secondly a question :)

Play team solved the compile "problem" of java using a lib from eclipse so it compiles files on the fly. do you have something similar, or do you plan to include something similar? I think compiling on every change you make while developing an app is painful, the biggest problem java frameworks have, excluding Play! of course.

American propaganda condemning the rocket internet for doing copycat companies, completely ignoring that 99% of tech companies in US are just copycats... even the most successful.

I guess the only reason why "Arrington copycats" hate them is that they create and execute successful copycat companies.

In 1798 Thomas Robert Malthus predicted food shortages as population grows geometrically and food arithmetically. but here we are today with plenty of food :) in fact we have so much more that it causes us health problems...

I think these predictions overlook technological advancements just like Malthus did.

Play! is one the best things that has happened to java in the last 10 years!

From the post I understood that she was pissed because they did not accept her fix on testing the app from the IDE.

The second point was that there is a bug in the framework that they could not find... it seems though as the bug is in their application. (concurrent modification of a Map is a problem in java not Play!)

It's a pity to give up such a great framework for silly reasons.

Every time I have to switch to another framework (especially jsf) I want to shoot myself.

Anyway... good luck finding another good java framework.
