Making promises.

When my child would ask to do something or desire something I might have said, "Not today but I promise in the future ...". Often I would never follow up on those.

Now, I am more inclined to say, "I will do my best to make that happen" or something along those lines but no promises.

Does everyone just buy in that this is just a network change gone wrong? OR could they be mitigating a breach/hack? OR could it be some other theory?

It will be interesting to see what other types of new technology (good & bad) emerge from this.

I could see using this for fraud detection and then kick off a 2FA flow if it couldn't verify.

However, most biometrics aren't the best single line of verification. You still have to add a backup verification of some kind.

Examples, I was working on my car all weekend and my hands have new calluses on them and my finger print is off. I got a new keyboard and my typing pattern is different, etc.

Ideally, the cubbie would work like a PostOffice drop box and have a way to insert packages at will with out a code and then the owner has a key to unlock the cubbie.

I would definitely like the idea of being able to add a private channel whenever I wanted one. Something like #{myusername}-private-{whatever} and then I could approve or add users to the channel

So in essence you end up with the #channels being filtered by third parties? How would those third parties get noticed. Would Twitter offer them some kind of sub domain or special alias?

Would you foresee the "pro" level to add in controls to minimize the "abuse" issue that Wall Street often points at?
