I've been streaming development of a game I am making in C++ and Raylib for both desktop and browser! See me in action on my Youtube channel. I won't share email here, but I will if you reach out to me on LinkedIn or X/Twitter.

I have professional experience as an iOS Developer, Security Consultant/Penetration Tester, and as an online Computer Science tutor. I realize my intersection of skills may not appear united or even fresh, but I pride myself on my ability to learn new tech stacks and integrate into anyone's workflow.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Thank you in advance!

Amazing project, and sorry to hear about your daughter. I wore a back brace from age 4 until ~10, when my scoliosis curvature took a turn for the worse. They did surgery on me back then (27-28 years ago now) and put a stainless steel (or titanium im not sure) rod on my spine and fused it. I've been stuck at 5'1" since age 11, and have had to deal with some teasing about my height, but otherwise I've been able to have a good career in software and tech.

If you want to reach out and ask me any questions about life with scoliosis (or anything else for that matter), feel free to reach out to me:

Your project is pretty cool...I can see myself integrating IRC support so I can bridge communications between telegram and IRC. I already do a lot of bot-like stuff using Sopel (Python) and notify (golang), but love working in C/C++.

Godot 4.0 Stable 3 years ago

I just don't understand why more gamedevs don't work in pure code like libsdl and C++, it is very liberating.

Hey man, I bought Steredenn on the PS4 like 5 years ago and it was one of the best shootemups I've ever played. I haven't beaten it yet but was considering picking it up again for the Switch. Thank you for making it. I am working on my own game and games like yours are an inspiration for me to keep going with it.

If I can ask a question, was there an initial design decision to build the game in Unity, or was that just your preferred tool out of experience?

(asking because I am fool-heartedly going in pure libsdl2 and C++)

Thanks again!

I generally don't list my email and try to control who has access to it, but I've ended up in several recruiters' databases and can tell when people who email me are using some template or automated system. Oftentimes the positions they reach out about are a clear mismatch and they reveal that they never even read my resume to begin with.

My god, he's still going!

Have you ever tried going more than a day without cleaning your teeth? Have you ever had so little energy, motivation, or otherwise give-a-care to just not-do-it when going to bed at night?

Why do you insist on this being the baseline when you've clearly never struggled to do this?

You've never had true depression.

My teeth are rotting out of my head due to poor dental hygiene from years ago. The road back up sometimes begins in a deep hole vertical-ascent, and that can feel daunting, even hopeless at times.

You wouldn't talk on the Internet unless you had experience. Everyone loves to brow-beat.

TIL of notcurses

"Notcurses is licensed under Apache2, a demonstration that I have transcended your petty world of material goods, fiat currencies, and closed sources. Implement Microsoft Bob in it. Charge rubes for it. Put it in your ballistic missiles so that you have a nice LED display of said missile's speed and projected yield; right before impact, scroll "FUCK YOU" in all the world's languages, and close it out with a smart palette fade. Carve the compiled objects onto bricks and mail them to Richard Stallman, taunting him through a bullhorn as you do so."

This inspires me

You're not considering the Korean perspective. If Korean is your native language, Japanese is significantly easier to pick up than English due to similarities in the grammatical structure and syntax of both languages. Your surprise is rooted in a fundamental misunderstanding and stereotype about English because English is, I'm guessing, your native language.

It is mine as well, but I considered the questions you're asking when I was teaching myself Japanese around age 9. I'm 33 now. The barrier of difficulty is all in your mind. You're the only limiting factor. You decide for yourself how difficult something is to do.

Doesn't work for basic C++:

#include <stdio.h>

#include <stdlib.h>

#include <iostream>

int main() {

    int someNum = 52;

    printf("Whale exists that does %d hz\n", someNum);

    std::cout << "Out";

    return 0;
}

/var/obfuscator/code_624952c3a4d4ebc7df41c830d3572272.c:3:10: fatal error: 'iostream' file not found

Stopping due to parsing error of severity Fatal

-----

Removing the include for iostream yields:

-----

/var/obfuscator/code_c963503bab4beb00483856ecd675548d.c:7:9: error: expected expression

Stopping due to parsing error of severity Error

I'd like to explore the possibility of contributing to its development and maintenance. I may not be an "experienced" C++ programmer, but I am an experienced programmer looking for more experience with C++.
