Maybe journalists are acting in their own interests. Trump appears to be very hostile to journalists who are critical of him. Freedom of the press is their livelihood.

It's crazy that I have to worry about being sued for pointing out a mistake.

Signed into FB from Chrome (version 47) from my MacBook (Mavericks).

It was 6am and I had my earbuds in and I could tell they turned on. They didn't turn off until a few minutes after I logged off.

I went to YouTube just to check. A few minutes after I closed my YouTube tab, I could hear the audio disengage.

I'm wondering if it's connected to FB autoplay videos, but those have no sound.

Isn't this also called the "soft bigotry of low expectations."

They have links to real studies at the bottom. It's not marketing, they're just trying to makes studies seem more interesting.

I want to make sure I'm solving the problem before I decide how to make money.

It's useful to several different groups: business teams, coaches, people in the employment space and normal people. I only need to cover rent and other expenses.

There are a few options (in-app purchases, ads, pro account for business teams).

Buffer (bufferapp.com) sends your tweets on a schedule so that you don't have to manually tweet them.

They also suggest tweets for you when your queue runs empty.

I know conversions are only a small percentage. Some people are excited and I still receive emails from people. Eyeballs first, conversions second right? My page visits have been growing, and Twitter is a percentage of it.

It's something to build on. My honest take is that people are interested in the idea, but I need to continue working on the product. Execution is important.

People are sharing it independently. I haven't added my url to any of my own tweets.

I'm pretty sure Buffer suggested stories and LinkedIn Pulse have been a some part in the growth. It's largely being shared within a niche on Twitter. It's a very simple app at moment. I don't have much for in-app analytics.

Great idea on the alarm. I collect great quotes and I want to use them. I just thought I couldn't serve them well in this version of a small local app.

I'm hoping to eventually use the app to sprinkle a person's day with things more positive and substantial than a compliment or two. It might also make sense to have different features trigger after 25 or so entries.

I immediately thought it was something to do with Apple infringement or something, but then I realized I have a Steve Jobs quote on the site already.

I am curious now.

I just wanted something with a script feel, for nostalgia.

It's better than a notepad in that it will send you reminder notifications of accomplishments. A notepad requires you to look at it again.

There are also counters on each category so you begin to notice and feel confident about how accomplished you are on certain areas of your life.

There is also a strengths/skills page which collects notes you've made on each accomplishment. It needs to be improved but eventually you will see patterns in the skills you use to accomplish things.

The booming sound let's everyone know it's coming. It could probably be called a safety feature.

She seemed to state that Clayton Christensen cherry picked his companies and excluded examples that didn't support his theory. And that there are many companies which have failed or succeeded outside of his theory of disruption.

To summarize, we pay too much attention to disruption nowadays. We overuse it to destructive ends, and she seems to think it wasn't based on rock solid evidence. The article ends with a reference to more organic, collaborative and poetic connections.

Very cool tool, but I wish this was explained better. Your tagline should read:

"Build your newsletter as you browse the web" or something to that effect. Another might be "Build your newsletter in minutes as you browse the web".

Somewhere after that should be an easy to understand explanation of how you fulfill the value prop. Right now there is a big gap between your opinion of how long newsletters should take "should take minutes..." and how a person could quickly build a newsletter.

I will need this tool soon, but it took me a while to understand what service you were providing.

Isn't it possible to support certain ideals no matter which party they come from? The fact that their proposals do not always align with specific interest groups supports a claim of impartiality.
