Many people do. And even if they don't, charing a car every day if you don't have a charger at home or office will be very painful. Imagine that you have to tank theICE car every day, even this would have been irritating.

Not completely. Adaptive cruise control is becoming more common. Some Toyota's have it in all versions for some models. Mercedes A class you have to pay additionally for the basic models.

I have the same if it's too late, or too long. So 15-20 min, max till 3:30pm work for me. Did you try that?

Yeah. That's why working from home is soooo good. How many times in the past there were days I was struggling and feeling sleepy/tired in the office, sitting there, not being productive. Now, when something like this happens, 15 minutes nap/lying in bed helps to recharge batteries for the rest of the day.

Choosing one it's a bit confusing, Asus offers many models, and hard to understand the difference. There are some which have separate display port and power. Different covers. With a battery etc. I really wanted just one having only one cable.

On Amazon there are some other less/not known brands, offering bigger screens, but I felt more convinced by the mainstream brand.

Remember that your laptop has to support this. I tested it with an older MacBook Pro, and Lenovo ThinkPad. On my old Ideapad I don't have such port.

When I',m flying to UK I always wonder if there are so many first timers, or people are so ignorant.

In Germany I never seen so many people have to open the bags after the scan, and have them re-scanned.

at Munich airport, at one of terminals they have new devices. You have to leave everything inside. Laptop, water etc. You just have to remove items from your pockets, belt. So much faster.

My worst experience was in UK, multiple times, at Manchester airport. So much drama there.

Portable screen. Didn't know that such exists, till about few weeks ago. Have a small apartment and sometimes have to work at the dining table. Using a big screen is not an option.

You are comparing to different segments.

Sandero is 36 cm longer, 27 cm wider, 2 cm taller, and has 28L more of the trunk. So the difference will be even bigger.

For 20k you get Jogger, which is a wagon, even more space, and it can be a 7-seater.

And also real life range of Dacia Spring is around 160 km. So that is very little for 20k .€

Talking about Sandero, comparable in size Renault ZOE starts at 37k €

Problem is that companies are buying those for tax advantage, and never charge, so CO2 emissions are higher - additional weight of the battery.

Using SUVs costs more money, more resources, cars are heavier, tyres bigger, more are resistance, more fuel usage. And number of people buying bigger and bigger cars is growing. Number of people driving really fast is relatively low.

I would rather ban SUVs than anything else. It's upsetting to hear people complaining about climate change, pollution, voting for the Green party because of this, and then instead of a sedan or wagon they are going for a SUV which uses 3-4 liter of fuel.

First huge part of the population should learn to use the right and middle lane. I'm not often zooming on the highways, but how many times I overtake cars driving 130 kph in the right lane, where someone is driving in the middle lane 120 kph, and the next truck in the right lane is 1km away.

Also I'm not FDP voter, but I'm definitely pro no-limit. There is little no-limit patches anyway, traffic often doesn't allow driving faster than 160. Construction work all the time everywhere.

Not just that. For huge part of Polish population new EVs will be unaffordable. ICEs got more expensive in the recent year, but that still much lesser than EVs.

The charging issue and grid use is a massively overblown problem. You only need to charge your car for a few hours every 300 miles.

You are joking, right? 300 miles is 482 km. On paper, yes. What about reality?

For people with a low budget, probably cheapest wagon option is Dacia Jogger, starting 16.900 €. Find my reasonable priced, decent sized wagon for someone who can afford max 20k loan for a car.

So no. If prices of EVs don't drop by 20%, and range (real, not on the paper) doesn't increase to at least 450 km in light winter conditions then I don't want to see an EV, although it's cool to drive.

Also I live in a pretty new building, 5 years old in a really big city. We don't have chargers in the underground garage, although there is close to 200 apartments here.

I remember some car tests on YT. I don't think any of VW cars make 400 km. And in winter will be more like 210 km.

I'm fit (2000-4000km distance per yer, multiple sports). But I would never bike to work/train for longer than 5 minutes. I sweat too much (armpits, feet). And taking spare clothes/shoes, and showering in the office is too much.

Been in Norway recently. After long drive and reaching the airbnb, we went to the store to buy some food for dinner. Electricity went out. Payment by card not possible, payment by cash not possible. I even asked if I could take the food, leave my ID and come later to pay. They said no. What to do? Luckily after 20 minutes it was back, and after few more minutes all terminals were back online.

Why do you assume "dysfunctional"? Flying costs money. Having apartment big enough to accommodate 3 adults plus one or two kids costs money. Family members have to work too. There is no black and white here.

Same here. On Friday afternoon I'm already looking forward to Monday. I'm ok to play with a toddler for couple o hours, but entertaining a small but very active child for two days is really exhausting. I wish day care was opened on the weekends too, at least for few hours.

How does it matter? That someone wanted to have kids doesn't mean that he want's them under the same roof till the end of his life. Especially with the grandkids. People should not be taking for granted that they can simply come back to their parents, or close to them and ask the to look after the kids. In the world where retirement age is increased more and more, people deserve also "me time". If grandparents really want it and ask for it, then great for both.

Writing this as parent, having small toddler, leaving abroad, far from both mine and wife's parents. It is harder without support, but manageable.
