Yeah, it's definitely seems it's this from my perspective. The companies reformulated and reduced our full-sugar options, all so they didn't have to put their prices up, at the cost of the tastes of their products and consumer choices. And then the last few years hit and they massively up their prices anyway.

I always happily pay extra for original coke, but so often with other brands I can no longer find the full sugar versions in stock

"Cambrian Chronicles" is a great example of this on Youtube - the channel is primarily about Welsh History, but often ends up as an academic exercise of starting with a reference on Youtube, and following through sources, often back to some Victorian scholar who mistranslated or misspelt something (or sometimes just plain made things up), which was then copied by someone else and so on - essentially a game of academic Chinese whispers.

None of the articles I've seen ever seen to address why NYC has such a high rate of fare evasion. Is it just an ingrained "cultural" thing now? You could definitely jump over the TfL barriers if you wanted to, but no one does

As someone that came through London Heathrow this morning - most of the time it's because half of the gates are switched off, seemingly for no reason as far as I can tell. Combine that with the fact that US, EU and UK passports can all use these in the UK, I'm sure if i went to the "other countries" line I'd probably get through faster

Definitely - just did this. Last trip was in 2019, when I got 110 Yen for my GBP. This trip, all the Yen denominated prices were essentially the same, but I got 180 Yen/GBP - so everything was nearly 50% cheaper, resulting in a much more luxurious (and enjoyable) trip

Apple Cynic/Windows user here with a genuine question - why is this interesting? I'm currently looking at my wife's old corporate-issued windows laptop, which is running 2 external monitors as well as it's own display - am I missing something here, or is this just a case of Apple being held to different standards to other manufacturers in terms of feature parity?
