It would be interesting to see how fast the startup time of the docker containers will be. If its for faster than EC2, this could be used for some super elastic job processing. Somewhere between EC2 and lambda. I doubt the startup time would be faster, since the docker image download would hit the startup timing.

If the startup time is fast, and it can run of GPU, a killer Deep learning platform could run on this.

Last I checked, OverlayFS did not play well with tools like Yum/Pip. Has this been fixed?

I went through the test couple of weeks back. It was pretty interesting take on the screening part. Wanted to see how the phone screen was, but they seem to be out of slots for a long time.

I think its an excellent idea. But,Codecademy tries to teach to people who have never programmed before. Yours makes more sense if the target is someone who already has experience in programming, and is introduced to a new technology.
