It seems like self-reflection on why this is the case is not one of his talents!

I'm glad that I'm not the only person who felt this! It does feel like the post is missing some deserved self-reflection.
This is a nice idea, but no firefox support and subscription model means this isn't getting used (by me, at least).
Guess I'm not a human, I got owned by the imps because I assumed left and right would be strafing instead of turning.
I scrolled the webste twice but I cannot figure out what this object is for?
Great stuff in this release. Also thanks to the influx of former Unity users a lot of tools / modules / templates have been given a shot in the arm and the general maturity of Godot has increased a great deal recently. Its not yet at a level that some people would want, but its great to see progress.
I don't see why there cannot be both? GDScript is perfectly useful.
Gotta love a classic Conflict of Interest!
This is a great project, I wish you well in seeing the work again!
If you would like your own ersatz version, lego make a set approximating this lovely art work in their own style.
I hope the headline writer got the rest of the day off after writing that banger
"Before you think we are anarchist hippies rejecting all systems and institutions outright"
Not even close, you sound like Libertarian-adjacent technologists who have been believing your own hype / some other equivilent metaphor.
Technology has a role to play in education that is as-yet unrealised and while I cannot speak for all of them, I know the system in place in the UK is behind the curve. The solution to this isn't to pull your kids out and use them as the cornerstone of an individualised experiment but to fight for better funding of the educational system itself. I hope this does not have any negative consequences for the kids who are the recipients of this trial.
Given the degree of Tax Evasion in Italy it makes sense they would be investigating it - after all they are experts!
Joking, of course.
This looks really good, thanks! Really appreciate this and all the other Whisper implementations in this thread as I am sorting up transcriptions for my 120+ podcast episodes.
Agreed, this is really smart. I imagine (hope!) it also cuts down on recurring feature requests as it allows you to open up the realm of possibility for using the library in the users head - instead of needing to program in every use case, you introduce someone to serving themselves.
Ditto. I use them to (hopefully) send good vibes the the creator / maintainer - you never know, they may need the tiny endorphin hit!
Was it intentional to have the pin layout be in the shape of the Sefirot? Either way, spooky!
This post is fascinating- it uses "I" and "We" so interchangeably that it is almost dizzying.
I want to ask them: what do you want? If you run your own Mastodon server you have a large degree of control over how that is run and federates, so can customise your experience. To continue the analogy, you can stop people invading your house party.
Then there is the cultural lamentation and the "no-one asked if I wanted that" line, which is wild because cross-posting has been around for as long as there have been platforms. It just happens.
I love Swatch Internet Time - as others have mentioned, I used it constantly via Phantasy Star Online on Dreamcast. I used the .beats watchface on my Pebble until it died, too.
A second run at .beats with a clear mind and an open standard could nail down the awkward parts (Set 000 as midnight UTC for example) but I doubt there is the motivation to try the exercise again.
I would love to see iFixIt do a teardown of one of these tractors.
I am sorry, but I strongly disagree.
The Marquee text is what catapulted the site from "This is nice" to "This is Art" for me.
But then again I am more viewing the page as a piece of performance art than an actual attempt to sell me a keyboard!
Site accessibility note: going to www.electronicmaterialsoffice.com redirects you to a holding page.
I'm not sure I'll get one, but I like the site design - it feels almost pornographic.
Haiti had to be punished for its successful slave revolt and overthrow of its colonial master. Not just by that spurned overlord, but others who feared their own subjects looking at Haiti as a success and learning from it.
Yes, this is boiling down a lot of elements and caveats that can (and should!) Be made but at the core this is what happened.
I use the android LiChess app to play my dad, works wonderfully.
This reminds me of the Eizo 1:1 format monitor that I always coveted but never bought. Now it appears they are no longer being made.
"- Making changes to key benefits like maternity leave (down from 16 weeks to 3 weeks)."
This change in particular stood out to me. 16 weeks is already too little but 3 weeks is just callous bordering on destructive.
If Kaseya wanted to put up red flags against working with them then they are succeeding.
Also from having used it recently their product is cumbersome trash! Sadly once it is in place ripping it out of 900 devices is a lot less appetising.
I am very tempted by this but what is going on with that spacebar? The older I get the more I realise that what I really want is an updated Psion 5.
I'm afraid I cannot "Not participate" in the ecological destruction they cause.
Seeing this I initially let out a laugh until I scrolled down and saw that they trained this using /pol/. Even as cynical as I am I don't think the world deserves a infinite racism machine.
Why not train it using a more whimsical (although still offensive) board? You could probably automate all videogame discussion forevermore using /v/.
You see this kind of thing with Manga Authors too, except in those cases the authors editor comes to their residence and stares daggers at them until the manuscript is ready.
That being said the most often place I have seen this is within manga itself, so this maybe the incidence rate is actually low and the authors who draw this into their series are either traumatised or just passing along a story!
They should rename it to Amazon Project Kessler because thats what they are going to cause.
