I'm Greek, I've been to the National museum of Athens several times and love the mechanism, the replication attemps, etc Clickspring though has actually made me understand and feel the challenges to build that thing. My personal view (please take it with a tablespoon of salt) is that Clickspring has made further contributions in understanding the underlying technological challenges than many academic papers and diatribes have done.

Maybe that's the plan all along.

My native language is Greek but I have been involved in translating stuff from English to Greek before.

Most translators in open-source projects are pretty familiar with English. Usually they have a technological or background so English is a must. Often we struggle with translating terms into our very own language because at least in some cases they may sound a bit weird.

I personally tend to use English UIs in the software I use because it reduces the cognitive load off trying to figure out the exact term at hand, but for my 85yo mom that struggles with very basic stuff yeah I'm glad she has the choice to use Greek.

I'm not a native English speaker and I tend to use the LiveCaption application in Linux when I attend English speaking online meetings. Would love to have the opportunity to have subtitles in my native language (Greek) too while doing so.

I tend to file bug reports all the time on the Linux systems I work with because that's the least I can do to assist the developers of the open source projects involved.
