Work in a startup - you'll be able to grow personally and professionally more then anywhere else and really skip ahead of the pack. When you're older find that mid-size company that balances risk, pay and technology.

I pick a pet project to implement in that language. For example: I implemented a Twitter clone when learning Ruby on Rails, I wrote a ray tracer to learn Rust ...

Haven't tried it myself, but while it seems Gravitational is focused on SSH and Kubernetes use-cases, we've built Twingate to support a wide range of protocols and use-cases across the organization.

We use Kubernetes internally and we use Twingate to securely access internal tools (Like ELK, Grafana, as well as SSH) without having to expose public IPs or worry whether they get hacked or DDoSed. Before Twingate we had to spend a lot of effort to make such tools accessible securely.

I'm a not Tailscale expert but as far as I understand, the biggest difference between us and Tailscale is that we allow our customers and users to continue using existing private DNS and IP addresses. This means that users can continue accessing internal resources exactly as they did before. From an infrastructure standpoint, as you point out with the Docker container, Twingate is also incredibly easy to deploy. No need to install Twingate on every single destination service, you can just install our connectors on the relevant network segment and we'll take care of routing traffic to the appropriate destination. Making the product as easy to use and deploy is the primary guiding principle for our product, and we're getting great customer feedback around that.

She did not close one company down and open a new one. The domain for the new global company was registered 4 years ago, same time as the LA one showing intention for a global expansion early on. Closing the LA company and moving the entire IP to a new global company is in breach of her original investment deal.

So basically Mark Cuban invested in a company who's IP is in dispute (because legally that IP belong to the LA company) - basically he invested in nothing.

There was no React Native when I started. Plus I wanted to learn Swift ;)

But I can probably redo this now in React Native and support multiple platforms. The UI etc is pretty standard the only problematic areas I see is: 1. Charts (need to find a good component) 2. Twitter integration... No React Native Twitter SDK yet. Will probably need to wrap their native SDK

I wrote this app to learn Swift. Maybe Its time to experiment with React Native... ;)
