On Yelp's review page:

"Your trust is our top concern, so businesses can't pay to alter or remove their reviews."

And yet see we stories like this about Yelp all the time. Yelp reviews aren't worth the paper they are not printed on.

It appears to be the code for the controls:

I think it's just someone with a sense of humor.

I see this often too, usually when Google brings me in via the "duplicate" question. I end up steered to a question that is kinda close, but no cigar.

But these moderators have a job to do. If they allow too many "duplicates" SO might run out of drive space or something.
