Brave Origin 2 months ago

They address that in the FAQ:

Some early Brave Origin users have asked how Brave can maintain user privacy while requiring a purchase ID (either from a Brave premium account or from the App Store / Play Store).

Brave uses a blind token protocol based on Privacy Pass, which decouples payment identity from service usage. These privacy-preserving subscription credentials allow the browser to verify you have a valid purchase of a premium product (like Origin) without learning anything about you.

I wish they had developed the open source Inbox into a consumer hosted email service for users. It would have been nice to see more competition with Google and Microsoft.

Tailscale Funnel 4 years ago

Same, it's really a shame as tailsclae is great but it uses so much battery on my ios devices I cant keep it active.

As a consumer, if pricing was reasonable, I would switch to this is a heartbeat.

Just echoing the comment above. Cloudflare email forwarding would perfectly replace the free google apps that is being eliminated if it would allow sending emails as well. Even if it was heavily throttled / limited so people don't use it for transactional emails.

If there are other Simple Login / free G Suite users, please upvote the github issue below. With Google providing a way to migrate from G Suite to a normal Gmail account, SL is considering adding SMTP access which would allow us to migrate an unlimited amount of user / domains over. This would provide a cheap way to forward / respond from our domain addresses while using a free Gmail address. https://github.com/simple-login/app/discussions/679

I haven’t been following development closely, are there any comparisons of Elementary and Ubuntu Budgie?

Love this idea but are the surveys randomized or quality controlled at all? I have tried 4 surveys, all different and the results seem weirdly consistent. Option A always seems to win out with ~60% of the vote (60%, 64%, 60%, 57%). I even reversed the two images in one test and whatever was in position A won.
