There is basically one reason why I use a Windows machine and that is games. I know linux has seen a lot of movement in that area (tks Valve) but I've tried it, and it works great, but performance is better in Windows for my machine. So I bought this machine where I can game (it is not anything fancy) and I would really like to work on it as well.

I have a notebook with Ubuntu installed and if you would ask me I would rather work on the linux machine, but I'm trying to push the envelope with WSL2 to develop with RoR... Weird bugs and slow sometimes (better than WSL1 tho). Oh well...

I love pixel art. For me is not only a hint at nostalgia but an art form in itself and that is alright. I like the aesthetics of it, I like the way it looks and I can admire the professionals that work with that kind of art.

We hired too much too early. We didn't measure the impact of employees on our revenue so we had more people working on the product but we where not growing with it. Then, we took too long to fire those people or find ways to make the structure work.

RethinkDB was forked by some members of the community as RebirthDB and now it is being merged back to the original repository. Lot's of exciting stuff is going on on that front and those guys need help pushing the newest release.
