I remember few years ago listening to a radio interviewer with popular folk singer, the interview was over the phone so host at the end said that some day this singer should visit them in studio for proper interview, to which the singer replied: "If I visit you in studio for interview, will you play some of my songs?", to which the host with slight embarrassment admitted that they are not allowed to play outside the playlist.

You are using font size wrong. I see 13 lines of text per page and most lines has single word on it.

The solution is simple. If you don't know correct font size of every visitor, don't change the font size. Each visitor will have font set according to their preference. I will have set it to medium, my grandma to xx-large, teenager with perfect vision to small, designer with 8k monitors to 150px helvetica.

If you want to retain some control over the font size, use small, medium, large. (e.g. information dense site could use small, average website like yours could use medium, and information sparse websites like wedding announcement could use large).

BLISS 11 days ago

My favorite game playing in my mind is doing timeline revelsals, what if browsers used bliss from the beginning and then someone invented JavaScript and put it in browser. Would you stick to bliss?

With these sentiments I always remember E.T. game for Atari. It took six weeks to develop that game, it would take an hour to develop now for experienced game dev, even without ai. So we do have some bloat now but we also have tremendous amount of productivity, mature tools, languages and hw.

Removing how is stupid. If the "extraneous" how is there, you can still understand it, but when the necessary how is removed, it doesn't make sense or it changes meaning. When I read the title I thought someone is trying to lower the weight of Maxwell's contribution by suggesting he merely discovered them, not "invented" them.

Ux on mobile is very bad. First you lure me with a prompt, but when I type it it's lost and I'm redirected to login page. Ok, I signed up, logged in. On mobile the progress panel is 1cm wide, I didn't notice and I set the same prompt now I have 2 generating and no way to cancel. You (correctly) started title of this post with the word "generate" that is your core feature, everything else I see on mobile is unrelated bullshit, including the carousel, including the "choose your role" dialog. On mobile there should be prompt (50% of screen real estate), a generate button, output/progress (50% of screen real estate) and hamburger button that hides everything else.

The generation haven't finished yet, I will report when it finishes to see if core feature is even usable.

Solar cell is the only practically viable power source with no moving parts. Stop trying to attach it to moving things. Movements breaks things. Just put the panels by the rail, e.g. as vertical sound barriers in reasonable distance (to lower the pressure waves from train) from tracks. Or on a nearby field where it can be protected and inspected all at one place.

Hover text is "If you're thinking 'Wait, a giant crystal cave in Mexico? What's that?' then I'm SO excited for the image search you're about to do."

I have action camera with retarded user interface. To turn it on I have to: press main button for at least 0.3s but no longer than 2s, then I have to wait until it beeps, then I have to wait for 3s, then I have to press second button for at least 0.3s but no longer than 1s. Then I observe main led, if it blinks the camera is recording, if not I need to press second button again.

With tiny mcu like this one, I think it would be possible to add a bodge inside that would turn on recording automatically after single press of button. The MCU needs to be really tiny to fit inside camera.

Mineral that can be only formed by life, or under special conditions when water flows over rock, has been found on Mars, where water had been known to flow over rock.

NASA doesn't want to find life on Mars. They want to find evidence, so that the next probe can be more complex and more expensive than the previous one.

NASA will never send wet microscope to Mars, you know, the kind you used in school to show bacteria in dirty water. As that would instantly prove life on Mars and make ever more expensive probes hard to justify.

I drawn simple diagram. On the left side are top views of the bread, right side are front cut side. A is half of entire bread, like half eaten. Let's say I want half loaf, I cut half of the bread width and then one short perpendicular cut to separate half loaf. That is C view.

Now if someone goes after me and they want half loaf, no problem, in E they make red cut and they have they half loaf. But if they want full loaf, they still have to cut half loaf first and then they make green cut to get their full loaf.

This annoys them because they use wedge cut F. If you want half you make blue cut, if you want full loaf you make purple cut. Face of the bread is always flat so you can always make half bread or full bread with single cut.
