This is very cool. Do you have any advice on papers to read to understand the details of search based compilation a bit more?

I like the idea of llms collaborating like this a lot; planning, critiquing, verifying, coding etc. I think that’s a very general and powerful approach. How did you end up with that structure and what did you try first? What are the downsides? How do the component agents communicate, just json?

Sadism for some, sure. For most IDF personnel I guess it’s more about “operational expediency”: if the population is terrified they’ll listen to your evacuation orders and show up to your aid distribution/killing fields on time. Finding terrorists one by one is hard work; tossing a bomb on a whole building is quicker and safer.

This is the kind of comment that at first glance seems measured and well-phrased. I’m sure it depicts a common situation in journalism too, after all they’re just humans like the rest of us.

The problem here is the enormity of what is actually going on in Gaza: a slaughter and a terror campaign we haven’t seen the likes of since Pol Pot. Isn’t it a bit sad to think that trips like these are pretty much impossible to make these days? The number of countries I would consider safe to live in and raise my children in is much lower today than it was in the seventies. On that metric, things have only gone in the wrong direction for the duration of my life.

CI/CD workflows most likely. And devshops that have standadised on docker containers for their stacks (mac-based devs in such places suffer a fair amount of papercuts today). Indeed. And for rust compilation, good single threaded performance can have a significant impact on that last annoyingly slow linking step (at least when building executables).

AFAIK the Sentry people are big on Rust and very responsive. I’m sure they’d react well to a bug report. :)

This is exactly what needed to be done, in Sweden and elsewhere. Pay staff triple and have them stay with the old folks and get everything delivered by externals with as little contact as possible. And no new admissions into the care homes.

This uses the Nettle crypto library under the hood. Does anyone know how well viewed (or reviewed) it is? I'm curious to hear more from the devs on their reasoning for picking it (maybe it was the only one with the features needed and a suitable license?)

Side note: the JS to play sounds throws an error in Safari TP, works fine in FF.

What exactly is the output of the example in `test.c`? I.e. what do the numbers mean? The error in the prediction I guess, but the prediction of what? What is the first entry in the semion data set? a "0"?

Is it possible to try this out in a VM? I.e. are there any VMs out there that emulates the hardware well enough to be usable with Ixy?

What does Sandglass use for persistence? Is it using something like Rocksdb under the hood or is the WAL and VL "homegrown"?

No kidding! It took them all of 24h to get it sorted, impressive. :)

It worked on yesterday's Nightly, then I updated to today's and it crashed immediately.

Crashes on Safari Nightly and Firefox Nightly, but very neat when it works! :)
