Partially correct.

Thinking about them in terms of the mall or a shopping plaza is good. However, you mistakenly compared the app store with the Gap.

The app store is the mall space, numerous apps abound, as do shops. The gap might not sell porn, but Victoria secret, Spencers, Hollywood (nights?? I can't recall) exist in the mall and might not be porn but... Some retail plazas might have an adult section. Best buy or Fry's at one point had adult magazines and videos.

Some retail plazas even have other things progressives and democrats find offensive, like guns and old classic literature. Occasionally you can also find a pawn shop in a retail plaza.

There was a point where you would rent out your mall or retail space to anyone with the money to cover the cost plus a small profit. The decadence, wealth inequality, and unrealistic valuations from government interference have led to a world where it's fairly easy for some to cherry pick who they want renting from them based upon their ideological, political, or racial spectrum or beliefs. The same now occurs in our app stores.

Thankfully hyper capitalism's provided an alternative, Windows, Android, or linux, and pine.

I suppose if you're a socialist you probably don't understand how it all works without a government edict giving you instructions and making sure you and your neighbor have the same marginal product.

However, even without this edict, rest assured that you can make the change without the government allowing you to... Fell free to switch.

Most of the "resurgence" in cases in Texas is from about 3 counties, all in the border, all of them treating individuals crossing the bitter for better treatment.

If course, we could say the rest of the cases are simply from anyone now using the healthcare system who is being automatically tested even if they are being seen for something non covid related.

Of course if you really wanna get in the weeds, you could probably say that the median age for covid is about 36 and the death rate is about .04% for those under 50, well below a seasonal flu. Of course you still have democrat governors letting the bodies hit the floor among elderly nursing home residents. But children who are statistically unaffected by covid remain locked down with their parents, who are also minimally affected.

But hey, i think orange man is bad too..

There already is "greater regulation"..

In fact in NY the nursing homes themselves pleaded with the governor to not force the return of these COVID positive individuals back to the nursing homes. The governor of NY actually scrubbed his order from the state website sending these infected patients from hospitals back to nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

You can use whatever asinine ideas You like to protect your stance on big government. Not enough government wasn't the problem here, the government was essentially sending smallpox blankets into these at risk communities. If those people voted blue or were one of the protected classes, the access media would be all over this.

I think it's close to around 44% by recent numbers.

However, NY recently revised how they are counting these deaths, and they now count them in a way where if the nursing home resident is transferred to the hospital, they are generally not counted as a nursing home death. Up until very recently, they were counting that as a nursing home death the same as every other state in the union.

They've been the only state to make such changes so far, but the governor did make a deal with the nursing homes to limit their liability during this situation as well so this is pretty much par for the course here.

The legality of antifa as a terrorist organisation aside, there are numerous examples since the civil war of presidents using the military outside the scope of posse comitatus act.

It's ironic that you can burn down a business and the political infrastructure says it's fine, yet try to open your salon or attend a church mass and your arrested.

Yes but ironically Twitter tags Trump tweets about election fraud just after another report of a letter carrier tampering with mail in ballots. There are numerous stories that don't get attention about problems with mail in voting because access media doesn't want a certain narrative.

At the same time, Twitter doesn't tag a Trump tweet about Joe Scarborough alleging an affair and murder of an intern/co-worker which is all wild speculation and completely inappropriate.

It's all obvious politics at this point, and everyone simply screams their sides' talking points.

I don't like the executive branch legislating, that is what the Congress is supposed to do. But far too long have tech companies straddled the line between publisher or platform, (soft censoring it's users/clients which i have a problem with instead of just removing them from the platform which i think is well within their rights).

Hopefully this opens up all these companies who editorialize their users content to class action and other legal opinions and actions. At the very least maybe the courts and the Congress will weigh in and we can get most of these grey areas removed. We might have less options for social media and news agencies and some might even be completely destroyed. Likewise, i think a lot of users will be removed and or deplatformed. But these are all costs we need to bear to finally get peace on the web.

They already do train them like the military. In fact, since Obama, they've also been arming them as the military as well, not only with M4's and Barrett 50's, also with up armor MRAPS and hummers. That's not including other tactical wartime gear such as stingrays etc.

Train The cops as soldiers, don't be surprised when cops act as soldiers.

I realize that as we've been millennialing our military into occupying and policing, but make no mistake that's not what they're for. And it's the same issue with cops.

Oh by far back you must mean like 2015..

Because for a long time things were interoperable. Many chat services ran off jabber/XMPP. You could easily use adium, pigeon, psi, gajim, and even the AOL IM and iirc yahoo messenger would all communicate interoperably.

In fact, you could even jabber chat with those using Google talk/hangouts until Google decided not to play. Before that iteration was usenet, IRC and ICQ.

Now you have WhatsApp, google chat or whatever it's called now, Snapchat, Facebook messenger, tik tok, zoom, kakao talk etc. But nobody wants you to leave their garden. And Because somebody popular makes a post using some platform, the masses rush there and doesn't leagu leave until they're told to by the new YouTube personality du jour.

So no, i tend to think in the process of millenialing chat services, they made them simple for them to understand, and kept them in the garden so they wouldn't get lost..

Didn't numerous specialized covid hospitals close in Washington without ever seeing a patient?

I know for sure about the military one, in fairly certain there were several. https://www.military.com/daily-news/2020/04/10/armys-seattle...

A lot of governors "went it alone" because generally, for anyone under 60 who didn't have multiple co-morbidities, this was just a bad flu season. That gave these governors a grand opportunity to implement And enforce bad policies in the name of keeping people safe.

The irony of it is, the policies of these governors effectively isolated quarantined those who were most vulnerable to the virus, those in assisted living and nursing homes with those known to be infected with coronavirus effectively turning them into death camps. Your governor effectively executed them, while quarantining anyone least likely to be affected by the covid. The fallout effects from their actions will be felt long after this is over.

Yeh. You guys did a great job out there.. Hold your heads up high Washingtonians, you have so much to be proud of.. And i think he very much represents who you are.

Yeh. I've not seen the plandemic documentary. But it's not hard to figure out their take on things.

With The most recent data The cdc released or shows the Stanford studies were pretty much dead on.

But i also tend to think this wasn't about a virus, it was about control. (Yeh your small business is just to dangerous to keep open, please shop at target, home depot, Wal-Mart and Safeway instead).

What they think is about as relevant as opinion polls from a misinformed public. People largely have their mind made up about it about the covid because it's more of a religion now than anything else.

Nevermind the numerous serology studies from multiple different countries which show exposure to the virus is highly prevalent with most individuals being asymptomatic. Nevermind the multiple recent studies in the U.S. which show the same. Nevermind the numerous prison facilities, ships or other confined areas which show it being highly contagious yet most asymptomatic. Nevermind studies that show Unless you have multiple co morbidities, if you're under 60 you probably at a greater risk of heart disease than the covid. Nevermind that numerous studies site that transmission from children to adults is low and risk to kids themselves has been pretty low.

No no.. Let's close the schools to keep the children safe. Let's close houses of worship and other sociologically important places. Let's close small businesses but let's keep big businesses open. Let's allow the ppl to continue to take public transportation to their big box store as well. Let's indiscriminately quarantine everyone, we most certainly can't have them going to the beach or other outside areas where it's well known UV-C kills the virus and transmission risk outdoors is tiny. Let's jail salon owners operating at home and surfers in the ocean but let's release criminals for politically relevant taking points. Let's make sure we don't quarantine or even test anyone in nursing homes even though they are begging the NY governor to allow it (gotta get to 100k somehow).

Yeh no. Every time i see someone outside exercising in mask and gloves i know exactly how and why we get a 2 trillion dollar stimulus package that gives 86k to politicians per month for childcare during this crisis. They're essentially the droid army from clone wars series, just wearing masks.

I get why the govt is doing it. It's about power and control. I can say that i never thought scientism would get such a hold on the people though. If i were musk i would've already been gone from California. And if i were the governors in Texas I'd perma-ban any emigrants from NY or CA.

Extremely Well said.

Ideas and articles such as these often come from a more credentialed yet less historically literate/knowledgeable generation.

I think you typically see similar articles conflating these larger private companies and their shenanigans with the state or federal govts who have actual men with guns to impose their will.

For better or worse, words have much different meanings for younger generations.

Well it's far more important to have the ACLU working on advocacy and rights for LGBTQ+ where there are demonstrable acts of violence and systemic oppression rather than waste time hand holding individuals who think they should be able purchase an Arsenal of firearms and spread Covid by not obeying and respecting their fellow citizens through their non compliance.

I'd say they are definitely where they need to be.. It's prudent and wise they not be involved with rabble rousers who through their non compliance, indifference, and questioning of authority silently slaughter members of minority communities that this disease adversely affects more than wealthy elites who miss their bed bath and beyond or their tee time.

It's not about the vaccines. It's about control.

If the ppl are vaccinated, those ppl should be safe, and in theory those unvaccinated masses dying off from X illness increases the overall fitness of the population.

However, it's not at all about that. This is about forcing those who may not think or believe the same to not only acquiesce, but to actively proclaim they are science deniers and that another group is infallible and correct.

I'm not an anti-vaxxer per-se, i think vaccines for things such as polio, mmr are important. But i don't think others such as flu and possibly hpv are worth the risk.

I don't support forced vaccination however, and the more those who loudly tout forced vaccinations the more it leads me to believe that there may be credibility issues with the vaccine efficacy and the vaccination's research.
