Better safe than sorry? I agree with you, but maybe Transamerica Corporation's legal department would think it's too close to their ads and such (huge stretch though).

"Hi, this is Steve Jobs. I'd like to speak with Adam Osborne."

The secretary informed Steve that Mr. Osborne was not available, and would not be back in the office until tomorrow morning. She asked Steve if he would like to leave a message.

"Yes", Steve replied. He paused for a second. "Here's my message. Tell Adam he's an asshole."

There was a long delay, as the secretary tried to figure out how to respond. Steve continued, "One more thing. I hear that Adam's curious about the Macintosh. Tell him that the Macintosh is so good that he's probably going to buy a few for his children even though it put his company out of business!"

I remember when Verizon disabled Bluetooth file transfer on some of their "feature" phones, forcing users to use send a MMS or e-mail, thus inducing data charges.

In regards to competing with Apple, I feel like a lot of people forget the advantage that Apple's retail stores give them. The Apple retail stores give people an opportunity to use iPads preloaded with software in a nice shopping environment.

How will Samsung (and others) reach the average consumer with these new tablets? Will Best Buy just stick them in the middle of 4 other tablets with price tags?

There are 6 prices for iPads. 16/32/64 Wifi. 16/32/64 3g.

I would say people would care about the other NY Times plans. I would personally much rather use a NY times App on my iPad (Which would mean the $20.00 plan) versus using it on my iPhone. But if I wanted to use both apps, it would cost $35.00. It's cheaper just to get the physical paper delivered to your house.

But will the Economist, the Financial Times, Amazon, Netflix, Hulu pass up on the large amount of iOS users out there? They could easily make up losses with new users. (Higher volume of users, Easier billing system, more user friendly, etc etc)
