I ask a lot, because we all get something out of the answer or answering a question.

I check it a couple of times a day, but rarely do I go the "new" (which I think I should do more).

I think a problem that bugs me a lot is how I see lots of people wanting to do lots of cool things, but they lack the appropriate guidance. We do that on a day-to-day basis, but what about the other folks out there who don't know about this place?

Usually forums, IRC, blogs help in getting immersed with anything, but I have a feeling that a startup with the primary purpose of "Enlightening" its users has yet to come.

edit: Basically what I'm shooting for is: how to get rid of the crappy forums and allow a truly easy and fun way to go about learning new things.

People go to college to learn about how things should be, but not how they are. Waste of time and money, sometimes.

You have to use gnome to use Dropbox, hopefully they fix that. Then all the systems folk will probably use this for quick n' dirty research projects.

I want to know where the dinner table is (no joke, I really don't know a good resource for an "honest" version of the same material). Any sites you know of? :-)

Those who do not believe the world is just, have a reason to live for: Lets make the world just!

I don't know whether or not that reasoning is based on some wiring in our brain..

From the article: "There are about 5.5 people looking for work for every job available, according to the latest data from the Labor Department. "

That's not much. Oh, and OUCH!

For about 6 years. In C, Java, Perl, Python, C++ and, sadly, VB.

I've seen a bit of "funcational" in python's type "function" and lambda expressions. But didn't really understand how I could go far with this.

I kinda don't see how I can build a large project based solely on the idea of having those constructs in the language.

A friend of mine worked for MSFT before, and he had to go through lots of emailing, just to get a hold of the team responsible for a component he's working on (he was probably working on a subcomponent).

It feels like a circus, to be honest.

I kinda meant the class of MSFT workers that are responsible for making the image look a bit brighter. I felt that way, because I've not seen positive content about MSFT in a while.

You're being too specific about the task you need the designer for. Designers and those who seek them, must have this thing called a "vision" that allows you to see the value of your potential designers and they will get to understand you better.

But no one really does that sort of thinking when they think of "design". So, the concrete solution: Go on twitter and ask designers to read a description of who you are, what you do, what you like etc. And offer some cash for those that design a cool site that's coherent with the description you put for yourself.

Of course there's no magic trick that works for everyone so TIAS!
