Whenever I see headlines like this I think back to Batman Begins when Lucius Fox says "Bean counters didn't think a soldier's life was worth 300 grand"
Congratulations! That's big time. I think just in time too. I have a feeling (as do others) that valuations may start declining soon to try and head off a bubble. Peak market is now! Perfect timing if you ask me - congrats again.
Eventually the market would eliminate wasteful land use because whatever was occupying the land would be willing to sell to someone who could benefit from it more.
Bureaucracy and entrenchment get in the way of that though.
Cell phones could only be afforded by the wealthy in the 80s. Now the cell phone market in developing countries is burgeoning. Soon, there will be a substantial laptop market in most developing countries as well as prices continue to decline.
Agreed - the barriers to entry are so much lower than they used to be. I think, overall, it's a good thing, but the companies that have to really grind to get where they are usually end up in a better position I think.
