You can't just charge the farmer based on a particular crop because they can easily change that from year to year. Alfalfa usually last 4-5 years before they replant. So they would have to basically raise the prices of water for all farmers.

A huge portion of our nation's food supply is grown in CA. It would/could drastically raise the prices of food worldwide because some tax hungry politician wants a larger tax base.

This article is very short sighted. This is CA. You know once they ban one crop or start charging more for that crop, then they will start charging more for everything else. CA likes to suck companies dry through regulation and taxation. Once they go down this slippery slope, it won't end and prices on all foods will increase as a result.

My biggest question is: who cares? Lot’s of people in this community (and the media) love to pounce on people and companies who don’t think the same as them. These people/groups talk about being inclusive right up and until the others don’t share their points of view. It’s exhausting

There are 1,000s of companies across the country do this very same thing without any fan fare.

Just stop it!!!

I’ll give you a hint, the best locations are not in the city. Check out small towns. The people are down to earth. The cost of living is much less and the people are generally awesome to be around. I love in a small farming town and your neighbors would give the shirt off their back to come help you. One of our daughters has to go to the hospital for about a week and we came home to a clean house and meals for a week.

Those who think the city is good place to be, explore a little outside your urban bubble.

In addition to this, we have lots of kids and there are plenty of ways to have kids affordably. You don’t have to send your kids Ivy League schools and if they do, they can get their student loans to pay for it.

Lastly, yes, kids can a source of frustration and pain but they are by the one of the largest sources of joy, pride and happiness in our life. Watching them grow and develop is amazing.

Have you ever thought for a second that you can’t trust the media? Or trust the word of a disgruntled employee who’s just trying to give a black eye to the employer who is about to let him/her go? It pretty funny watching the posts coming across this and other platforms thinking the world is ending because Elon comes out and says he’s going to make twitter balanced instead blatantly left leaning.

Things like this make me more and more want to remove the Section 230 clause shielding companies from lawsuits.

"Section 230 has enabled platforms to absolve themselves completely of responsibility for policing their platforms, while blocking or removing third-party speech — including political speech — selectively, and with impunity."

Way to go turning the whole of the police force into a bunch of racist bigots. With many family members serving in both law enforcement and the military, this is one of the most offensive things I have heard in a long time. 99% of the police are some of the best people you will ever meet, and they will even serve and protect people like you who don't appreciate them and would spit on them if had the chance.

COVID is not going anywhere. It is here with us and is not a light switch to be turned off. Eventually, everyone will get it. By hiding in your closet and afraid coming out is not the solution. I live in here in Mountain west where there is a lot of skepticism about everything with COVID. Not that it's not real, but how to approach get past it. For example, I believe that flattening the curve means staying open and going on about your normal lives. As we have seen, shutting down and then reopening only seems to cause spikes again.

If you get it, you get it. It sucks. It sucks a lot worse for some than others. But so does heart disease, cancer and any number of things I could get and die from.

To live your life in constant fear is no life at all.

But, they are not. They go all 4 days, all day. So, completely senseless and half-hearted like most of the COVID rules out there. I can only think that they may be doing deeper cleans on Fridays, but they haven't said that they are. So, who knows.

All kids are going to school, but only 4 days a week (I don't know why 1 less day reduces any risk). Masks are optional but recommended. Currently, all after school sports are still going forward as before. The district is offering an homeschooling option but limited on the number. It is already maxed out.
