Isn't that what supposedly Edison did, take cat naps and then go back to work? He probably did not know anything about REM and Polyphasic, maybe just discovered he was more productive that way?

there is, I think, a deep yin yang of the words Namaste and motherfucker ajoined. hate and love meet on the other side of oneness.

People forget that Socrates was forced to drink poison ostensibly becuase he had not made many friends with his "method". So one might consider that. I think often times say "the Socratic Method" which is a method of aurgument when really, they mean to say "ask a lot of questions" but that does not sound as cool I guess.

From what I can tell, DIDO does not overcome Shannon's law, it just moves the channels around that still fall under Shannon's law (basically re-using white space). Interestingly, this is not that different than what LTE does already (using it's SON feature, Self Optimizing Network). One problem that DIDO has is that it neglects the the speed of light, latency, introduced by the central manager.

Yes! I am 54, I started in a start up that got bought by a big company. I am still here, but feel I am much wiser and would like to try the start up dance again. Why not?

Sounds to me like a dweeb who secretly wants to go but no one will go with him because he is a dweeb. Dude, stop whining, if you want to go to BM just go, stop being a bitch.

we really do NOT need 4 times zones in the US. Why not consolodate to 2 (China spans 5 but standardize on one zone http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_in_China) I am not one of those people that thinks every China does is groovy, but in this case they are on to something. I think that there is more comercial benefit to 2 time zones in the US that we get from daylight savings time, the time for which has come and gone. Why not just have East and West TZ's?

As an LGBT person myself, and having struggled for many years to overcome various prejudices, I absolutely celebrate Tim Cook's success and appreciate that he is a great role model for young LGBT persons.
