yeah, if it were 'just' the comments... go for it. but put the details back under & give a little buffer between the row of icons. it's not like the couldn't make whatever is under the video (comments or thumbnails) independently scrollable...

I'm among those who hate it... it's worse than change for the sake of change & not being functional, it makes things less functional. The thumbnails under the video are annoying, but now to get more info on the video you need to click a few extra times to minimize your playlist & then click a few different 'more'... then it's squished in the stupid side column. Just frustrating wonky mechanics. The search results now are less useful too in a single column. If I wanted to use an app, I'd be on a phone or a tablet... forcing the app experience on desktop never works. I've reported it via 'send feedback' every day since it rolled out, lol.
ah okay, thanks :)
Hi, I used to love hoverzoom... was there a malware scare a while back or am I thinking of a similarly named plugin ? At the time I switched to imagus & adjusted to it. Either way, thanks for turning away the monetization attempts :)
same for Google News... I hate having news customized based on what you assume my interests are and considering a bunch of shitty sources as relevant. Like you figured out I like marvel movies, way to go... hard pass on rumors and theories about plots. Hey I watched some youtube videos about the economy... guess it's time for the news to gaslight me for a few months and show anything that might spark fear of things outside my control.
idk, 'DarkMoneyAI' has a ring to it :)
we'd make great pets...
I hope you let her know that she shouldn't be ashamed. These people take advantage of the good nature of others. It's also something they work at every day to improve their ability to take advantage of others, fix the mistakes that caused the last con to fail so that the next person will be at an even greater disadvantage. Learn the lesson & move on.
I listened to the audiobook for 'The Perfect Predator' (https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Perfect-Predator-Audiobook/15...) ... was a good story and amazing he survived with so few long term complications. They were certainly well connected, but he also was very resilient being able to recover from (if memory serves) multiple rounds of sepsis & organ failure.
Jellyfin is great... client apps for roku & ios plus a web interface cover all my devices. Minimal setup, just run it from a docker container. Has been super stable for me for a few years now. https://jellyfin.org/
what type of supplement was it ? what type of symptoms did you experience ? always worried about things like that.
can't decide if it's good or bad then that we somehow have universal care... but only for kidneys, lol https://www.npr.org/transcripts/131167638
related question... I have a bluetooth headset (aftershokz aeropex), when my microwave is running the audio from my phone seems to get interrupted. think it also happens if just the phone is near the microwave. should I be concerned ?
.... in mice.
soooo... would something like this be a viable option for a non-mac desktop similar to the 'mac studio' ? def seems targeted at the cloud vendors and large labs... but it'd be great to have a box like that which could run linux.
+1 to this and your other diet related comments. think the issue in large part is insulin resistance driven by high carb processed food and replacing fat in things with sugar thanks to the (22 - 15) countries study. fasting & keto can help someone recover... but so much polarization that people don't want to hear that either. so... think _enough_ of the science is out there at this point, but things are going to keep getting worse, more obesity, type 2 diabetes, sicker. you'd think the mortality correlation with covid would have woken more people up. oh well.
can't stand those filthy keto casuals /s
I'm sure the 'why' this happened doesn't matter much to you now, but noticed in just searching for channel name "tranresearchtraining" google would auto-correct and search for "trans research training". Maybe that flagged the review algo to be extra sensitive to certain phrases, etc. Also, where you're dealing with multiple nationalities, wouldn't be surprised if it included non-native english speakers and/or words outside the standard english dicts... so their auto speech-to-txt may have taken creative liberties, and a mistranslation triggered other flags. So, basic edge case nightmare. Their automated support is the worst too. Probably worth trying to spread this story on twitter and linkedin as well to increase the chances of it reaching someone who might be able to help or create enough negative PR to get on the radar. good luck.
we've inadvertently created a paperclip maximizer without even bothering to create an AGI first
that's a perfect way to describe it. thanks. sigh.
nice! Thanks :)
that's awesome, I wish more sites offered a slimmed down txt-centric version. if they added a minimal search it'd make it a lot more functional. as is, needed to clip the story number from the orig url to find it there:
look, if they fix search they might have to stop using "Confluence; where information goes to die" as a tagline... so not an easy sell.
seriously though... default confluence search-as-you-type box is horrible, however sometimes (often ? always ?) there is a more traditional search endpoint available that seems to give better results. see if either of these works for you:
<your confluence domain>/dosearchsite.action
-or-
<your confluence domain>/search/searchv3.action
Thank You :-) Would be great if anyone still involved could drop by /r/blockbattlenet ... would be happy to help with hosting (or if open sourcing at this point is an option, even better). Thanks again!
sorry for the non-context response, but in hopes you see the reply (and missed the one from the other day), blockbattle.net is currently down. would be great if it could be back up, not sure of any other way to contact the creators, will not nag about this again here. if you want someone to take over hosting, would be totally up for it :-) great game, Thanks.
this whole covid19 business would be a lot easier to deal with if blockbattle.net were up and running :-) (not sure of a better way to notify on outages, would love to discuss)
I had the same guess... migrating from aws to azure & hitting some bumps. Have to assume they won't be very forthcoming about it if that is the reason.
from the reddit thread:
Ligature support, yes. Also colored emoji and other similar features.
So... they put in software (MCAS) to try and auto-assist in certain situations so that flying the 737 Max would respond like flying the current 737. But seems like an indicator light to show when the sensors that activate that system trigger isn't standard equipment & the sensors may very well have a bad baseline read before takeoff and the system kicks into gear and auto-crashes the plane if you don't know how to disable it. Yeah, I'm never flying in one of those things :-)
