agreed, it is a net benefit, but maybe not the intention. I drop off books in these regularly that probably have decent resale value (relatively speaking) but very rarely find anything I am interested in reading.

that's fair. I was thinking more of an easy way to use a custom domain for email.

funny, I am revisiting rss as a means to escape social media algorithms and doomscrolling. there are lots of good resources in the comments to even further fine tune RSS beyond just being careful about what I subscribe to.
