Yes, if it'd be possible to switch to another international preset on a milestone then that'd get us mostly the way there. I already have a milestone for the move where I sell current house, factor in moving expenses and buying car/house in retirement country.

I am not really sure the consequences of e.g. withdrawing from a US 401k while UK resident (as a US citizen). But treating the 401k as an analogous UK pension for withdrawal purposes would probably be correct enough for forecasting.

I'm a big fan of projectionlabs and have recommended it to a few people. It's the best tool I've found in this niche. You've done a great job on the UI to keep it simple while being extremely powerful and I love moving milestones around and seeing how things react.

The Tax side is where things get interesting/complicated. In my case, I'll be retiring in a different country to where I'm working and so the tax for drawdowns doesn't really work

It's too early to say. The devs have said they considered extending KSP1 but chose to rebuild the game from scratch to enable things that never would have been possible in KSP1. Namely, acceleration during time warp.

So I think it's fair to expect that KSP2 today will be lower on the y-axis of features than KSP1, but has a greater slope and will pass it and keep going at some time in the future.

It's anyone's guess when that time in the future will be

There's one particular bike lane on my commute that I hate. There are cars parked all along the road and it's a single line placed 3-4ft away from the average car. Any above average sized vehicle or poorly parked vehicle takes up some or all of the "bike lane".

I refuse to cycle in it, but I can feel the judgement of every driver trying to pass me. I would much rather that cycle lane wasn't there.

I used to live on a popular surfing beach in Australia. Every day people would see the surfers and think it was a good place to swim and get into trouble (In general, if you see surfers then it's a bad place to swim). Always swim near the lifeguard's tower and pay attention to the flags

I recently moved to the US from the UK. In the UK, we have Argos that sells a few versions of each product at different price points. If you pay more, you get better quality and you aren't sifting through hundreds of fake brands of similar products.

The difficulty for me is that I've been to very rural areas, I've stayed in rural areas and I've had friends/family in rural areas. And I do mean actually rural areas away from towns and cities.

I've never lived there though and it is hard to get a feel for what would actually bother you until you've spent a significant amount of time there.

Maybe rural doesn't capture what I'm looking for, but I'm not sure of a better word and it does capture the feeling. I would like at least 4 acres and some privacy at the very least. Then the question becomes what I'd have to give up to get that. It definitely means giving up living in a big city, but maybe it doesn't mean giving up a small city/town.

I do worry about this. It feel like I often hear complaints of an influx of tech workers leading to higher prices for locals, especially real estate. I have friends in Denver, CO and Bend, OR specifically who have made that complaint over the last couple years
