I spend a lot of time in the ethereum proof of stake gitter and I can confirm that this is false. It's actively being researched and still in the roadmap. A hybrid PoS/PoW model will likely come out first.

I don't think this definition is quite as worthless as you argue. Specifically, you've missed the meaning of "relational". By "embodied" the definition means the physical (brain and rest of body). By "relational" I believe the point is all the stuff that happens to/around/in concert with the physical body and brain. You cannot decouple the brain from the external experiences of the brain, and so the mind must be considered as the processor (the brain) as well as all of the data (stimuli/experiences) that is input and output from the processor.

I thought this was going to be an augmented reality running app/game especially because of the recent Pokemon Go. Kind of disappointed when I watched the gameplay video.

He is not drawing that conclusion. He is just questioning people's insentives for staying in shape. You get longevity, but actually the great part is you feel better day to day. It's like telling a smoker to quit because he'll feel better day to day breathing and being able to walk longer without catching their breath rather than telling him to quit because he'll die of cancer.

Your simple dismissal seems naive. She gives you the boundaries of her "experiment" and is explicit about what she's already bringing to the table. It's an exposé on the experiment itself coupled with an interesting and touching personal experience.

Jarring might have been the wrong word. I meant instead that the 6-10 hour eye opening experience would have likely caused her to question a lot of things about her life. Sometimes the questions you ask during an acid experience impact how you view yourself and your situation outside of the experience.

Being a 1950s housewife, those questions and realizations might not be coherent with her expected role.

That clip left me with so many questions. What was the purpose of the dosing? Did they follow up with her? Was there a lasting change in her life?

When I took my first programming course, one of things I was most surprised by was case sensitivity. It's kind of funny thinking about it now my perspective is entirely different -- "D" and "d" aren't the same value so why would they mean the same thing?

My thoughts exactly. I have a cat and give him catnip every once in a while. I always have mixed feelings when I see him rolling around on the ground. On the one hand he's in pure ecstasy, but on the other I just drugged my cat.

I'd definitely have some words for any company that drugged my cat without consent.
