It's probably best to get yourself some books. The online documentation for both Asterisk and FreeSWITCH is shit, the IRC channels are mostly useless unless you already know a lot and the configuration files are just plain weird (Asterisk uses ini-style files with embedded programming, FreeSWITCH's configuration format pretends to be XML (which it certainly isn't)). Asterisk also has severe performance problems and AFAIR has some extremely bad code.

Sorry, that was my fault. I didn't make lambdas evaluate their arguments and I didn't notice this in my code. I.e. car/cdr work correctly, fun doesn't.

The eval throwing away context does not make any sense in retrospect. I think I made it that way because of some ghetto-scoping ideas.

You broke car and cdr somehow (these don't evaluate their arguments anymore), but I have no idea how you did this.

This was mostly a training exercise, this is why there is no significant use of monads in there: I simply haven't learned enough about them to feel comfortable using them.

(a) The empty list is treated as nil. (b) The scoping is in fact strange; what you saw, however, was a bug. (c) cons expects a list as its second argument.

switch.ch registers domains, but I couldn't find a reference to them offering DNS. They also have steep prices and a very limited selection of TLDs.

TLD: .is (pricey, but not expensive). Registration at inwx (seems competent, nice interface). DNS at either inwx or ______ (I haven't been able to find an EEA/Switzerland DNS provider). Hosting at OVH (cheap, IP failover, often used for torrents) or Leaseweb (used by some torrent sites, not quite as cheap as OVH).

This assumes that your content is only somewhat controversial. For worse: TLD .is, Hosting at PRQ (hosts NAMBLA, AnonTalk, …), no idea which registrar I'd use.

If people are actively trying to kill you because of what you want to publish, your only options are PRQ or NearlyFreeSpeech. Both can be fully anonymous, i.e. they will host your content without knowing who you are. Payment would be somewhat hard (I wonder whether they would accept mailed-in, sterile bills (though these could be traced)).

I'm using .is from now on. Sure, it's more expensive, but there are no fucking "domainers" there – even two letter domains are still available. And I have a hard time thinking of something Iceland would shut down (except for child pornography, obviously).

.is is good. Very safe, and still has two-letter domains available.

I've tried NearlyFreeSpeech, Gandi, Joker and InterNetworX. Gandi and Joker are expensive, inwx is so-so and NFS is cheap but has an extremely limited selection of TLDs. NFS and Joker have terrible interfaces, Gandi's is somewhat nice, however it's just way too big, inwx's is nice (somewhat unintuitive, but fast and compact). Joker makes accidentally deleting something hard, inwx makes it way too easy. Gandi pollutes your default zone file, NFS puts a SPF record there (which I like).

If you've just a few .com domains and don't need a registrar outside the US, use NFS. Otherwise, for the time being, I'd recommend inwx.

Ordering depends on age and votes. I.e. new comments and top comments are sort of interleaved.
