The "evidence" here is that children "said words" and "did things" that made it seem like they were "reincarnated". Also there are some anecdotal cases of injuries other people had turing into birth defects / birth marks for other people...

The best parts of this redesign are the search bar in the top right and the bottom link area. Everything else looks like Fisher Price Theme (tm). Still, it's miles better than the old one, which looked like the chaos of a mailroom itself.

This looks like the most uncomfortable thing in the world to hold. It looks expensive, gimmicky, and prone to breaking.
By the time they launch this, Microsoft will be announcing new firmware for Kinect with even more extreme fidelity than they have now, and Sony will start hyping their next console.
Add to that the lackluster sales of the (gimmicky, low battery life) 3DS, and I'd say Nintendo just jumped on the fail whale.

Exactly, but I think it's rational. Software is hard, damn hard to get right -- even if you get the math side correct, there's always UX to damn your product. It's only reasonable that a company that gets so many things _right_ is both so loved by some, and expectant to fail by others.

What about doing the same thing but attaching it outside your car instead? Then it's your property and it's mobile.

For me, that's Things. It's important to have all three interfaces, iPad, iPhone, and Mac -- because it lets me use them in any context.
Since I always have one of these devices, it's superior to pen and paper. I'm more likely to use it, and it all syncs rather nicely.
