I don't believe the wing was in a stall in this situation. There would have been an abundance of airspeed over the wings. While performing a Split S the issue is that you are pulling too many G's and you and the sooner you level out the more you are pulling.

I made a small solar powered CGOL(https://davidhampgonsalves.com/solar-powered-conways-game-of...) that has a low pixel count. After 100 frames it randomly generates a new starting point b/c I didn't implement loop detection.

Are their any algorithms or techniques for generating interesting starting states?

Cool, it looks like your processor is only slight newer then mind and is also on a 32 bit version of ARM so this approach would probably work. I'll keep this in mind for next time mine needs some work.

I agree, dithering on these devices works really well. After this project I worked on displaying images of the sun from the NOAA satellite. Until I got dithering working displaying the image with just 4 levels of grey was was very lackluster.

Yea doing that the first time was a pain but FBink is pretty widely supported on these type of devices and really lowers the barrier to entry.

It goes into deep sleep and only wakes up once a day after midnight. It gets about 3 months on a charge.

I use to leave it plugged in but got sick of looking at the cord.

Yea, to avoid this I run tbis device(kindle non-touch v4) unplugged and get 3 months on a charge with a fairly new battery.

Youtube performance/reliability on OSX made me switch to Brave.

Dandelion fritters and pancakes are also excellent and b/c they use the the flower heads / leaves they are easy to forage for.

I have a music server(Navidrone) running on a similar setup (https://davidhampgonsalves.com/junk-drawer-phone-as-a-music-...) but preventing Termux from being killed is a persistent issue. PostmarketOS seems like the best option but its device support is quite limited.

Good point, I was thinking more along the lines of "heads-up" right as a walk out the door and since this project was just for my own usage I didn't scrutinize the readme copy.

I found developing in the kindle pretty nice and if you want a quick start there is a pre-compiled python for it and golang can compile directly to the arm architecture that it uses.

This isn't just an image, mostly b/c I initially wanted to do everything on the device (and it uses a weird image encoding) but interacting with Google api's in Rust was a pin (at the time).

I would recommend a paperwhite since you can use the real time clock to enter deep sleep and run the device off battery. Its the only complaint I have with my current device.

Do you mean it doesn't automatically fetch album art? It does serve it to the client in my experience.

Been using it for about 6 months running on a PI. Very happy with it and I just opened a PR to add rating support(which was the only thing I wanted that it lacked).

For that to be true then I assume you supported them before this recent decision?
