The issue is that I want to sound like Iommi when I'm playing that music- so if I can't, then I'm not as interested.
Hey how can I delete this message in future?
It's 3am and I've been woken up to deal with a production problem of reasonable seriousness. After login, I'm assaulted with the appstore's recommendations for things like sports news and various games they think I want to know about.
At the time, I couldn't imagine how anyone thought that putting this sort of thing onto their flagship server OS was a good idea.
I realized about then that Windows was lost, MS didn't have the desire to promote it, and it became clear that their only real play was Azure and spyware.
Isn’t that where we are?

“..compensated more.”
How much more?
Your company is the reason images.google is useless unless -pinterest is used.
"100 presents for grandmothers 2019" is just web badfaith, sleazy internet pollution.
0 detail about the sensor, or did I miss it?

The c# code is ancient at this point and doesn’t use linq, which remedy his issues.
The language has added significant functional capabilities in the last 13 years...
It doesn't exist because the politicians decided (with the help of the person with the patent) to force it on the public by writing laws that said they all had to have this tech when it became viable.
In addition- just as with airplanes- when your life is on the line if a thing doesn't work, you're very conservative about change (oh please add a battery and electronics...)
Third- it doesn't solve a burning problem- if the market wanted it and without #1, it would be available.
You've never had a track day...
This whole page is filled with "Doesn't apply to me, so go for it", which seems like a really bad rationale to apply to hundreds of millions of people, potentially.
scriptability of CLI tools and pliability of text files trumps all computer automa
I feel the need to sing, "You may have both.... you _may_ have both.... it's not so hard to imagine... MS even did it in certain products..."
It'd also be nice to explain what the project you're announcing is in the the link title.
For example, "Foobar v2 released!"- except, I have no clue what foobar is and I'm probably not the only one.
"Foobar- The Magnificent Music Player for Linux, v2 just released!" Would be way better.
as of win10, but too late for me to care.
rats had been there from the start and are a good (imo) explanation for what happened-- the tree and their seeds were preyed upon.
[This explains explains it from an academic standpoint.](https://www.amazon.com/Questioning-Collapse-Resilience-Ecolo...)
Saying that they killed all the trees to help the moai get into place (or similar) is ridiculous.
In addition, the first reports from the 1720+ timeframe (first contact and there abouts) estimated the population at a few hundred iirc, no trees, toppled moai.
It's such a luxury that we give it away to beggar kids coming to the house every year in October...
touch bar is fine- it just CANNOT be used to replace actual buttons that matter- like ESC!
So gosshake, they didn't even put the stinking ESC in the same place, they had to indent it, ruining the billion times I've trained my hand to it.
the communications will not be directly used against you in court.
Directly. But via parallel construction...
I too explain my failures by blaming the ignorance, or possibly stupidity, of other people.
If only they knew what I know, and thought the way I do.
Those poor, poor dolts. May they find enlightenment one day.
Surely it will be the death of our nation if they don't.
It's not out of print, Amazon will happily sell you a copy.
I'm reading this book right now and it's glorious- it goes into a ton of detail on the history and design of early mechanical punchcard tabulators, sorters, multipliers, etc, in order to get you to the motivation to make it all electronic, etc.
Highly recommend it.
Also- this "printing" is really more a xerox of the original- and the "print" quality stinks. I got an older hardcover version off of amazon that was actually typeset and much easier to read.
This title makes it so that no one who doesn't already have a clue what this thing is will ignore it.
A better title might be: "Nerves 1 released! Create bulletproof embedded software running on the Erlang VM"
I'm aware of how scandinavia structures those penalties and I frankly prefer social economic status-blind policies.
It's reasonable to disagree.
Well, now we're changing the definition of justice based on your income. If I have 0 income and 0 assets, may I do anything I please? Should Warren Buffett pay millions for jaywalking?
It's probably a good idea for the penalties to be the same in society regardless of wealth.
It wouldn't hurt to tell us what this actually is in the title.
"Gnu Mcon- a 100% compatible replacement for Vixie cron"
Would be a -way- better title.
HN seems to love to announce random products and updates without telling anyone who doesn't already know what it is.
"Gnu Squanchydoo v3 released!"
TF is "Squanchydoo"? No idea, not going to bother to find out...
WinCE (lol) had a feature that would let you change the ringer for unknown numbers.
I could tell instantly, without picking up the phone, if I knew that person.
Wish my current phone had that.
Yeah, Eric is wrong about this.
His argument boils down to, "If we let chefs have any knife they wanted, they'd choose the ones that cut most efficiently and proceed to cut themselves! We can't have that, now can we?"
In practice, it wasn't a huge problem, but there were times when getting around it was just a waste of my time.
