Ok good to know, I just installed it together with AHK and somehow they must interfere which each other even if I suspended or paused AHK's script.

TouchCursor sometimes is deactive and then after a few seconds again it works again...

i had space when pressed remapped with ahk but couldn't get it to work reliably typing above 80wpm, how is it with touch cursor?

or just put both esc and ctrl to caps lock, which got common in the kb community for a few years

not true, had this for decade, never grew on me bc it's just unintuitive. US International keymap on demand on Windows is far superior

nice, just tried to find some places where can find more models, like smaller layouts etc, but couldn't anything, neither on ali, amazon and ebay. Where do people buy Japanese keyboards except in Japan?

Tried to use DDG for about 3-4 months on all browsers, desktop and mobile. Didn't work out. IDK why bc everything was good enough but there're small subtilties which felt better with Google, one thing I remember was Google's ability to understand that I just did a local search and showed me maps, Google Reviews and so on. I can't remember all issues buy I often appended the site to get the right results or those results I was expecting. Maybe I am just used to Google or Google is really somehow better (except with one thing, Pinterest). Just want to say that it's going to be hard to get people to move away from Google. Compared, leaving FB was a piece of cake.

Thanks for the video. Still I am not sure why you need a graph database here, everything can be done with hyper-linked md-files, optionally enriched with metadata (front matter). I am aware that a graph database is more elegant but again, does it justify its costs?

So, after diving a bit deeper into this field I still do not understand why the underlying tech is important for bidirectional linking?

I understand that a graph database like neo4j can be amazing once you need more than just binary relationships (any kind of relationship in any level can be expressed) and once you start to query the database. Latter is so powerful and crucial from a data scientist perspective.

But why are these graph db features important for notes? And what are the drawbacks if you just do this with normal text or md files with links and a normal file system? Assuming that the actual link setting UI is convenient and takes care of most there shouldn't ne any disadvantage when writing and querying them. If things get slow you could still use an index but yeah.

One advantage with normal files is that you will still be able to read them in 50 years without any special app created 50 years ago.

I must somehow have missed the trend around networked tools such as Roams (and Notion?). Would someone be so kind and educate me why this got a trend and that it's not a fad.

I wonder if this link-setting which is still a manual task would not get tedious over time. Then, I could imagine that finding content is still faster with a full-text search or question-answering DL models than clicking through all your links.

Something I still miss is a free and easy PDF tool which lets you delete, reorder and add pages from multiple PDFs. On Windows there is just Xodo but its UX is unfortunately subpar and on macOS you have Preview where the UI is better but once you have multiple PDFs from where you get the pages it can get confusing.

Nirav, I don't want to be the guy but yeah. One the one side, I like that somebody finally takes care of products we really need—notebooks. That somebody enters the hardware game, one of the hardest spaces to conquer. On the other side, I am a bit underwhelmed.

I mean this must the dream of every engineer, designer and 13-year old. Designing your own notebook. And what's the results? It's good, I would buy one, maybe. But is it a gadget I think of before I fall asleep?

This logo, then the centered trackpad (are you serious?), huge clumsy bays nobody asked for and a non-centered displays. Worst, a design that doesn't dare, that is afraid to go beyond the Macbook comfort zone, something that wants to be liked, something Chuwi and BMAX, two low-end Chinese brands, would have designed better. Btw, celebrating this reparability feature, maybe you should check out what Schenker/XMG/Clevo or the Thinkpads do for years. Not that all of aforementioned are dealbreakers but IDK, let's says they do not make a good first impression.

Look at following non-iconic notebooks[1]—I don't compare yours with iconic brands, this wouldn't be fair—but look what other non-premium brands are able to create. These are gadgets I dream of and you should think of restarting the project, seriously, I mean are you happy with this yourself or would Jobs be?

Tim is not dumb, not at all but he just maintained one of the industry's strongest network effect/lock-in, not more. Beyond M1 there is not a lot that is not from Jobs' inheritance. Ah yes, broken keyboards for more than three years.

While I think Clubhouse is a mixed bag and Twitter Spaces will crush them soon (because Twitter has the distribution) Clubhouse brought a huge innovation: emoji CVs, IDK how to make a business out of it but they look and feel nice and I could imagine that related services will adapt.

That's absolutely true and every post can have a hidden agenda. However and in particular in this field hidden agendas are more common or let's call it pump and dump schemes. Cause and effect are so much closer together than in other fields, e.g. when I post how great Ruby is I cannot expect that the next day 10K new devs learn again Ruby haha and even if, I won't make any money over night. Maybe my Ruby course business (just an example, I don't have one haha) would get few more subscriptions but yeah.

Once you mix commonjs and esm and try to import from one to another, it doesnt work anymore. Since major BE libs are commonjs you'll quickly face this situation. It's not related to ts-node but to ts' core. Besides, I find ts-node not that spectacular, it hides too much moving parts/it's too high level, it might be good for starters but nothing I'd use in production.

The title is promising but the comparison is more than subpar and misleading:

- There shouldn't be any comparison to a bare CPU because M1 includes a TPU, a typical CPU doesn't

- Comparing it to Colab's GPU is good because latter includes a TPU but OP should have stated which GPU he got; Google Colab allocates different GPU models

I went down the ESM rabbit hole, after 2 months I decided to stay away. Main reason is/was I want true monorepos in TypeScript with single DRY type definitions (so you need to import them to the FE). This alone is with CommonJS already a bigger endeavor but impossible when mixing in ESM for the frontend parts. Nobody should be blamed here because it's so much legacy, so many systems involved, so yeah.
