I would say that google created this situation by you know being complicit to war crimes

He might have delivered a lot of revenue growth yea, but Google culture is basically gone. Internally we're not very far from Amazon style "performance management"
Just curious how is this working out if I am working for an American company in Europe and I come to us for a meeting let's say? I will be there for a few days and actually working at the local branch.
Probably not, and he will be shunned by his community. The Roma problem is at this moment unsolvable and it will lead to some sad situation at some point :(.
Often when I look at how us works it seems to me that a lot of political action, censorship and coercion is privatised there, so it looks superficially like you have more degrees of freedom because you are limited by private actors and not the state.
In my country during the communist times many cities that had some industry nearby were heated with the excess heat from those factories.
You guys are definitely not playing xcom and seeing 99% shots miss.
No that would be blind.
I can't believe no-one mentioned keratological lenses. Not only gives you a glasses free experience during the day, they also slow or stop the progression of myopia. Aren't these avaliable in the US?
I was part of many left wings groups and I remember there was a transitional period in which there was a lot of talk about intersectionalism, that is how we need to not only take into account the class, but also race, gender, sexual orientation etc. Then slowly the class part dissappeared so only the latter were left to intersect.
If some vibration on the launch pad is that serious, what will it happen during the actual launch with a lot more vibrations and g forces?
Have you actually read after the abstract? The study you mentioned is about any spike protein, not only vaccine induced. And you will get a lot mote of that if you get infected. Also the effect is temporary and limited to the infected cells as these cells are terminated by the immune system or go into apoptosis (as per your study).
Unfortunately there are studies that show that building the battery of an electric car pollutes as much as a ice car in 8 years of use. That's not very helpful unless you find the way to greenify the extraction and building process.
Actually there was that flu vaccine that triggered narcolepsy very rarely in young people after 12 - 24 months. But this is the only example i heard of.
Valneva has an inactivated virus vaccine and they will soon apply for authorisation (phase 3 i think right now)
While reasonable, your statement ignore the fact that humans have issues considering the difference between a 1 in the million risk and 1 in 100000 (made up numbers). Many are afraid of flying and drive instead even if the risks are way higher driving.
Actually the us backed down. The crisis was triggered by the installation of us nuclear missiles in turkey, a arm length away from russia. They responded by putting missiles in Cuba. The end game was us pulling its missiles from Turkey and ussr from Cuba.
Yes, his position was in fact hedged/covered by another position. In the end he lost nothing.
Artificially supporting and re-introducing wild life has its hazards too. In my country, romania, we have grown a huge bears population, totally disconnected from a natural food chain as you can get. They usually go into cities and villages for food, stopped hibernating because of the availability of food during winter, and keep reproducing. Some have actually moved in abandoned places near cities terrorising locals. The bears are not hunted, with no natural predators and unlimited food...
Saw them in 2017 at nova Rock :)
When I was little I read a Jules vernes story about a big asteroid touching briefly earth and yanking away some water and an island. Presumably this is only perceived by the islanders as a big earthquake and it takes some time for them to realise that they are not on the earth anymore. Next year three is a close pass near earth again and they manage to return to earth in a balloon :)
Hello, just an info, in my hometown, Bucharest, population approx 3mil,they just announced they will test everyone. Some good data will come out if this.
She had an pre-existing condition: compromised immunity after a stage 4 cancer.
The communists won't confiscate your phone or laptop, that's personal property. They would take your factory away, yes.
I wonder why EU can't just strike back with economic sanctions if Erdogan follows through with his menace. I think the lira could go really really down...
Actually most of the oxygen is generated by ocean plankton. The trees, sure have their part.
I remember reading an article on marginal revolution about how wasteful are charities: The paying customers are scarce and the competition is so fierce that a big sum of the money you donate goes on advertising to gain new donors. In the worst cases most of the money goes into that ...
Well if it is a planet 10x the size if earth it might have an atmosphere so we could aerobrake, no?
Fyi french supermarkets like carrefour or leclerc already have solutions where they give you a scanner and you scan yourself the stuff you buy and just pay when exiting. Very fast and convenient.
Ok, let me tell you my experience: Fyi I am left wing guy, like european left wing guy :), currently living in Bucharest, Romania. Here the taxis are regulated so the supply is limited but you can't really buy a licence, there is some kind of queue in place. Anyway we have a few dozen of taxi companies, however the experience is abysmal comparing with uber. What I can't understand is why there is no competition between the taxis to provide a better service, even in this restricted market: If some company would try to provide better service for a slightly higher price I would be the first to give up uber and use them ... But they don't care I think they are colluding to keep the costs down and that's it. Very sad.
