This is in reaction to the announcement by Red-Gate that they are going to start charging for a previously free tool as reported here: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2170245
I love how if you click on one the Android links from within Chrome (or, indeed, simply browse to: https://market.android.com/ with Chrome) You will get a giant red SSL warning saying that the site is misrepresenting itself and is really .google.com! hilarious.
<quote> This is probably not the site you are looking for! You attempted to reach market.android.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as .google.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of market.android.com. You should not proceed. </quote>

Good, interesting, book on writing from a writing teacher's POV. Useful if you want to read the truth about the struggle to get published. Also good for improving your writing.

Stephen King's surprisingly good book on being a professional writer for most of his life.
"Writer's Digest" magazine. http://amzn.com/B00005NIPH
I've been subscribed to Writer's Digest for years. Full of helpful hints, interesting articles, and suggestions for improving your writing, regardless of the genre or media for which you are writing.
Wow! That was annoying. Don't click this link while on the phone. No idea what the plugin does, I closed the window as soon as the website screamed at me.
Isn't Chrome's "Create Application Shortcuts" better than this already?
Shared resources across multiple concurrent processes is not a good way to ensure a full night's sleep. I would follow the documentation's advice and pass arguments to the child process and not try and depend on the state of global objects.
