Genuine question – do Android people get ads in their OS default camera, calculator, calendar, phone, file-manager or SMS messaging applications? Or do have these Fossify application some extra privacy features that do not come with the default ones?
So it is not a next generation editor at least yet? I personally do find this kind of marketing language off-putting – if the main promise is basically a false one, I immediately get suspicious of the whole product in general and dismiss it without even trying it out :/ I would rather read a honest "simple to use" even it is not that loud or unique. Note that this is not a critique on the product itself, just the landing page.

Air quality in this context is not about smells or the sterility of the air, but simply just about the oxygen level.
The difference with this technology are the unlimited possibilities to generate any type of video content with low knowledge barrier and relatively low investment required. The ethical issue is not about how this technology could disrupt the video job market, but how powerful content it can create literally on the fly. I mean, you can tell it's computer generated ... for now.
The statement "Not that you asked my opinion, but $23/year for screendimming software--its no wonder people crack this." does not make any sense. If this is an application that only dimms the screen (which you can do multiple ways without any application) why would anyone make an effort of creating and distributing it and why would anyone make an effort on searching for a cracked version of given application? Surely there is some added value to it.
Also "if you can detect that someone is cracking your software or doesn't have a valid license, put a donation link in the shape of a coffee cup in the corner of your software. At least people have the option to support you." I have no data to back this up, but I really doubt that the people that are money-limited or just don't want to pay 20$ for an application will suddenly support a developer voluntarily.
Nor is it fun to visit (more than once).

I feel like I would be a target audience (games that do real world science and a greater good mixed with some cool looking hardware gadget, hell yeah) and I have children that would probably be interested in such thing.
But even after this extra explanation I don't understand what is the thing actually doing. What is the exact game mechanism? Do I only observe things; do I score better if I am fast or smart; what is the bio stuff in those things and how does it affect the games?
Could you maybe explain it like I'm five? Without using the words nano and molecular and bio and dna :)

I've already considered the global play/volume controls with a main output patch point and will redo the slider to look more as an actual slider. The presets and tutorials/documentation is something that just needs a lot of time, which is really limited for a side project :)
Patchcab started as an exercise for myself to learn the basics of modular audio and music theory. Working with tools I already know seemed the best idea and the Tone.js was a prefect fit for this. The exercise then turned to an idea of a modular (code and audio wise) Javascript/Typescript synth that would resemble VCV visually. Porting VCV itself to a browser is a really interesting idea and has been done to some extent https://github.com/miRackModular/Rack, but is really out of scope for what I wanted to build :) That said, I feel like porting some open source Eurorack modules (Mutable instruments, https://github.com/pichenettes/eurorack, I'm looking at you) would be a really nice next step.
I'm a developer from one of the cheaper engineering countries to where Ubiquiti has moved to. I'm not sure what are you implying with your comment and I hope it's not "the company is declining because the company moved talent to countries where developers are cheaper". I do personally have friends working there and they are top class developers. Living costs don't necessarily correlate with talent levels.
That said I don't hear the best about the company (long working hours, not the highest pay) and have declined a job offer there myself.

Yeah, I do agree. That was not a critic of Svelte, just a comment about that there is a difference between compilation (Svelte) and transpilation (Babel). I do use Svelte in every day job myself and prefer it to React (which is also great) just because writing Svelte "feels" like what Javascript has intended to be.
You can write and run React/Preact based applications "as is" without using a transpiler like Babel (you just typically do to minify code and use more fancy javascript features). You can't run a Svelte based application without precompiling it using the Svelte compiler.

To check the data authenticity it's connecting to a node server for the data synchronisation, the data encryption happens on the client side. Client side nodes are on IOTAs roadmap as it's a technical challenge to synchronise with the network by just storing a small chunk of it.
It's not because of Apples and Oranges :)
Right now IOTA works as a content storage and distribution "database" regarding to what we are building, so it's more simple than Ethereum smart contracts and their own language. The API SDK's are all there and are working great for us!

Hey, one of the authors here. Short answer - yes. Together with some meta data, the published content is signed by the author, encrypted (read more here on how exactly https://blog.iota.org/introducing-masked-authenticated-messa...) and stored on the Tangle.
Fog CMS helps with the content publishing and is one of the ways on how to read and display the content from the Tangle.
Communication is possible if you talk to the right people. Keep in mind that the people who are actually working on the technology itself or it's adaptation and implementation are not hanging all day around on reddit or #speculation channels. I'm running an iota network statistics page, so people assume i'm more educated about iota and I receive clarification, technological or simple development questions on Slack on daily basis. I do answer all of them as best as I can, a lot of them have been evolved in pretty long discussions and I have received the same attitude from other iota community members.
One of the developers for the UCL wallet here. Can you elaborate more on how did you lose money using a wallet that is not released publicly yet and is available only for a closed group of alpha testers who all have been instructed not to use the wallet with their accounts holding significant amount of iotas?
