RoboKiller app! Works great for me.

Trying to use all the bells and whistles of a note taking app is a distraction from just using the app to write things down. Depending on the platform, get yourself a stylus and just write as you normally would on paper. Later you can learn the features... Worked for me and I love it! I use my digital notebook as a secondary brain.
Random? What are you talking about? You've never seen that amazing iPad app that the TSA officers use to tell you which line to get in? You know... the one where they tap on the screen and a large arrow tells them whether to send you to the left or right? And for which they probably paid tens of thousands of dollars (maybe more) to have built? Wish I had gotten that contract! :-p
Love the design but its missing a key section... The ads... Without which Facebook would not even consider something like this
While I'm def excited about this game, when I thought about it, how is this not just the second half of Second Life by Linden Labs? Second Life already offers an MMO with object creation (Minecraft) and scripting (0x10c). While the sci-fi story line is more appealing to me, the concept of building thing and coding their workings in a 3D MMO doesn't seem novel to me... Unless I completely misunderstood something.
I think there should be a program like this that sync to mobile devices so you ddon't have to have your primary device with you to be able to use your accounts.
What makes this any different from me just spinning up my own aws windows server. They must have to mark up prices to make a profit so why not just do it myself? Its an honest question, not a critism.
Question is, are there really any true benefits to these microsites that just show the equivalent of a twitter search on a separate page. What would make a user want to click over to it? I kinda understand the point of a site like texts from last night, but I think that has some unique appeal. No?
Addtionally, if/when you make your app free, you'll hopefully get more people to download it. These people may leave you reviews on the app store about what they did like and what the game was lacking... information that you could then use to make it better and maybe learn some ideas for features that you could add to the "premium" version for pay. Additionally, having this 2nd free version of the app could then serve as a marketing tool to promote the "premium" version.
I think a better way to put this is if you want to make GUARANTEED money writing apps... I still think on the whole, its better to release a product yourself than do consulting for someone else.
I hope we aren't talking about VS 2010. That ide, and in particular the designer is HORRIBLE to work with.
prob just like the blackberry storm
And the space above the quotes is too much in comparison to the space below... it bothers me.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try the Amazon store.
Yes, it does sound that way, but unfortunately I'm very sure its not. I don't do any of the handling of transactions on the Market. That's all done by Google. All I do is post the app to the Google servers and they take care of the rest including listing it in the store, processing payments, etc. Additionally, I did post in the Merchant Forums but have yet to get a response of any kind. Thanks for the suggestion though! :-)
Could not have said it better though I doubt things will change. I hope so though!
Good Luck!
