I've long held the belief that if you want to simulate human behaviour, you need human-like memory storage, because so much of our behaviour is influenced by how our memories work. Even something as stupid as walking into between rooms and forgetting why you went there, is a behaviour that would otherwise have to be simulated directly but can be indirectly simulated by the memory of why an Agent is moving from room to room having a chance of disappearing.

Now, as for how useful this will be for something that isn't trying to directly simulate a human and is trying to be "superintelligent", I'm not entirely sure, but I am excited that someone is exploring it.

Yeah unfortunately I’ve had these symptoms throughout my life, have been regularly checked for diabetes but no dice. My dad has type 1 so we recognised my symptoms, but apparently it isn’t diabetes.

If someone can make it so it doesn't feel like I can no longer think or move any muscles or start sweating if I go more than about 3 hours without eating, then I'm on board! Also hunger pangs. Please no.

I'd love to know more about how you're doing enums. We use JSDoc annotated JS code with tsc switched on to get the IDE integration, and I spent a huge chunk of time yesterday getting enums to work so that for example we could define a type where only certain enum values were valid (enum member types https://www.typescriptlang.org/docs/handbook/enums.html#unio... )

I think you should be able to do something similar to the webpack config that Vue ships would be to use https://github.com/igoradamenko/esbuild-plugin-alias and pass in a similar `runtimeCompiler` option to your build script.

In my new-build (2016) I couldn't bring myself to drill into the floor, and you're basically looking at taking the plasterboard off and redoing it IMO. I ended up giving up and going with Ethernet-over-power when I desperately needed hardwire, with Powerline Wifi repeaters as well.

Now (last Friday) moved house to a 2013 build so I'm a bit more comfortable with putting holes in things.

From a UK perspective, my question is how do you find roles that allow remote work? It always seems to be a blocker and I end up having to take non-remote roles to pay the bills.

Maybe TDD just isn't for him/her/other?

I prototype, then tests, then refactor and I know some people would be zealously against this style; demanding tests before everything. However my mind just doesn't work this way, I need to play with code to get ideas out of my head; coming up with relevant test cases takes a magnitude of time longer than making the prototype.

Now if your co-worker is not writing tests at all, this is a different matter, but as long as the code he writes is covered by a test suite in the end, what does it matter which order he/she does it in?

I'm no electrical engineer, but the spec says each usb-c port can provide up to 5amps at 20v, which you would need to do the full speed charge you wish for.

If you think about the size of the adapters that can do this already, you'd probably have to imagine nearly doubling the size for each additional port you added. Plus thermals, etc.

I could be wrong but I imagine its related to the physical limits of providing that much power in a small space.

This isn't relevant to your question, and not to question your life choices, but why on earth would you want to move to the UK now? We're about to put ourselves through possibily the most traumatic political upheaval for years which, with the best will in the world, I can't imagine will go particularly smoothly.
