I ran a FirstClass BBS server in 1992, fully connected to other FC hobbyists. I remember that mail transfers happened at a scheduled time, and mine used to fail because my father was a Ham radio and, when he used his transceiver, the radio signals would drop the modem connection.

I scribble notes at https://netbros.com/.
I was 0.06% off on eyeball. Beat me: https://eyeball.rory.codes.
This is fun!
I have noticed that not one of them is compatible with the other. I generated shares using `ssss` (https://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/trusty/man1/ssss-split....), and couldn't combine them on any of the three sites linked. That is a downside, isn't it? Do you know of a way to bypass that hurdle, other than packing resources together with the shares?
Not to nickpick, but it seems GitHub centric. Is there a way it could be used simply with git (running on a VPS, on the user space, that is, accessed via SSH)?
Is there a client that needs to be used to be able to receive files this way? I tried the dedicated QR reader on my iPhone, and the Camera app, and couldn’t get it to assemble the chunks. It will show the encodings one after the other, but nothing else.
Today we announced our Q3 FY26 earnings with record revenue of $15.8 billion, up 12 percent year over year, and double-digit top and bottom-line growth. The ELT and I could not be prouder of the growth you have all delivered for Cisco.
Great! A successful company, right? Ah, but then:
we are making changes today that will result in the reduction of our overall workforce in Q4 by fewer than 4,000 jobs, representing less than 5 percent of our total employee base.
I wouldn't have put those two together so close, nor in the same announcement.
Thank you! I searched various permutations and failed. It’s a telling about the sad state of search engines.
What is that (Apptide)? Have a link?
Debian-based Linux (Raspberry Pi OS, KDE Neon, Pop_OS, etc. - not Ubuntu)
Why not Ubuntu?
Bhatti is easy to use, so powerful, and handy! Thank you for being so fast at fixing issues, and keeping up with bhatti’s development.
Where would Prodigy, CompuServ, eWorld, MSN, and the like would fit in? Together with AOL?
What's the other one? I cannot find it.
Wow, that’s quite nice! I see that’s at VM time, any plans to add the ability to add them after the fact? I am really enjoying bhatti!
Is there a way to store configuration/data of applications running on a Bhatti VM on the host, ala Docker volumes?
OP sentences have issues, but I understood what they meant.
The main drawback I saw on jails is that they are FreeBSD. The owner doesn’t mention, and I have not researched it, but can you run any Linux distribution in a FreeBSD jail?
Got a link to the entry?
Something isn't (or wasn't) right at your/their end. I can reach the site without issues right now.
If everything vanishes, why to force the creation of accounts?
Right now I would argue that unless some evidence of the contrary could be provided, this can be seen as a new implementation from ground up.
Not ship of Theseus, but a "new implementation from ground up.
Evidently, the author prefers MIT (https://github.com/chardet/chardet/issues/327#issuecomment-4...), and seems OK with slop-coding.
"Suffice it to say, I have ordered a Linx PC, which will replace the Mac."
That was a sentence uttered with the misplaced confidence of a man who had no idea his real troubles were only just beginning.
I don't think it is technical. Because of their size, they would be hard to hold without covering portions of the screen, if the bezels were thinner. As is, my fat fingers get in the way already.
I get spams referring my GitHub username from time to time too: https://netbros.com/1771535100/. I swear it has gotten worse the last year or two.
I am interested! :-)
I don’t know. Certified Unix? There might be, but it would certainly be a small picking. This is the list of UNIX certified products: https://www.opengroup.org/openbrand/register/.
I believe it runs Linux. [This](https://medium.com/message/tilde-club-i-had-a-couple-drinks-...) is the story behind tilde.club.
It would be nice to have the user comments linked to their original. That way we can enjoy reading the child comments.
Do you have a repository for this?
Thank you for the correction! I managed to find some, but not the collection as the post OP meant to share.
