I don't understand the article. It tries to shroud a plain tape recorder in mystery, but the whole thing is just eye-rollingly underwhelming because tape recorders/decks are still easy to find, and so many of them have common line level inputs that are ready to go without any fiddling; just connect your analog output and press record.

Fine. You may reach me on daneel_wahid <at> protonmail.com.
In this case you can just crack it open and see that the SD card inside is larger than the 8 GB block device exposed.
Well, you don't understand databases. Or software.
Why is deleting a row in a table a valid operation? Why is deleting a table in a schema a valid operation? Most likely they had full privileged access to the database.
But not everyone are thoughtless and uncritically think "biggerer number is betterer". I think a strong selling point of these phones is that they come with very little of the clutter and weight that Android has. A less complex relation to one's phone gives some peace of mind.
I assure you it can do regular calls and texting on the public telephony grid.
Do you live in a 5G-only region? If not, what's the problem?
All Amigas have 32-bit registers, some of them have a 16-bit data bus.
To me the entire 68K family were always 32-bit CPUs because of the 32-bit data registers. You work with it and write assembly for it in a transparent "32-bit way" like any other 32-bit CPU, with no additional care or work necessary for the programmer in regards to the 68000's external data bus being only 16 bits wide and behind the scenes doing 32-bit transfers in two steps.
Also worth nothing that it's just the early 68Ks that came with a narrow external data bus. The 68020 and onward, which were also used in the Amigas, have a 32 bits wide data bus.
It's precisely what you're doing. You just insist that Western events in the last century are more important, more "valid", and must take precedence.
"A billion people in Asia use, live with and benefit from this symbol on a daily basis, since millennia."
- "OK but what about the atrocities in WW2?"
The unilateral West-first perspective is a problem.
Yeah that sounds like a really sound rationale. It's only far more than a billion people to whom the symbol has a powerful and positive meaning. Let's completely ignore that and say that the 80 year old Western perspective is a lot more important.
Article makes no mention of what 900+ million Hindus may feel about the whole thing. It's possible the author doesn't even know what the swastika is, or that he is willfully ignorant because "Indians and Asians live somewhere else".
Developers who can't stop themselves from using embellished and "posturing" phrasing for simple things are a pet peeve of mine. I feel like this "knack" of Claude in a way scratches these special people behind the ears in just the right way.
If the crowd is diverse enough. Was it? The article doesn't reveal.
Sample of 10? Was this little clique also from one and the same corporate office?
Completely unrelated, but the name and the visual similarities triggered a memory for me: https://amiga.abime.net/games/view/mind-walker#screenshots
He does not know.
OpenBSD's FFS can be told to be fully synchronous, making it about as robust as can be for not being journaled. If you lose power it will lose the specific data currently being written to disk. It won't lose other data, because it doesn't keep a bunch of it sitting around in a RAM cache while lying to the writing process about the I/O op already being completed. A journaled file system, too, will lose in-flight data that has yet to land on disk if the power is cut.
I've had my share of sudden power cuts hit OpenBSD during the 20+ years I've been using it, and I have yet to ever see its file system actually go corrupt.
A sincere question: what important data does your router frequently and busily need to persist? If you don't have a UPS for it, perhaps it isn't too important after all. Maybe we have different perspectives of what a router is and should be. I manage a router (with OpenBSD) and it can drop off the power grid at any moment without losing anything of importance. If your router is in fact a multi-functional server I can understand the notion. Consider making all of the file systems fully synchronous. It has worked great for me for two decades.
This is not a case of "convenient debugging".
They didn't produce garbage by accident. They followed a plan and made a decision.
And that's something very different than a complete product designed from scratch by a Chinese team in Shenzhen.
What a surprise.
So the Earth's magnetic poles are not involved at all then?
Interesting article until you reach the gooey, messy bottom where the author takes a sudden personal turn and decides to pick apart the "spineless" creator of the programming language - who is the article's actual subject - by wielding their own ideologically and morally superior perspectives as truths. Smug, ironic, personal and somewhat unpleasant.
I had never heard about the language until today. In my observation, Rust is C's main competitor.
Yes and no. It is the standard for audio in film, which explains the author's focus. But is the audio CD bigger and more "standarder" than DVD and Blu-Ray? I think they're equals, and I personally think this encoder only makes sense for video content. Given all the caveats the author mentions (in particular about the sample rate) I would steer clear from using it when ripping CDs.
What if the focus of their pro-remigration stance is families deemed impossible to integrate due to their persisting criminal activities and rejection of functional societal norms? Because that's the exact demographic this one policy of that party is concerned with.
The "really bad one" is a policy calling for what in the Swedish debate is now termed "re-migration" of families who sustain themselves and their children, in their entirety, solely on crime and fraudulent extractions from the welfare system, while actively rejecting integration, education and employment. The misrepresentation is that the policy is strictly about non-white residents, all of them, on the sole merit of race and ethnicity.
And you know very well that he said all of this in the context of families who for years have refused to integrate in favor of sustaining themselves and their children exclusively on crime and systemic welfare fraud. Their party manifesto clearly elaborates on this topic. You are just highlighting an isolated part of his spoken paragraph while sweeping all the rest in under the carpet hoping that unfamiliar readers will take your word for it. Frantically spamming the thread with "It's ethnic cleansing!!" and "They want to deport every non-white person from Sweden!!" doesn't change the facts.
I'm a non-white non-native who came to Sweden with my family just over 35 years ago. Go ahead and ask me if I or my family fear their policies, and I'll tell you why we don't. Or, just relativize and say something like "well that's not the same thing" and I'll tell you the real reason why my family and I aren't the same thing as the demographic your comments relate to.
You're right, it doesn't take long. That's the sad part. The evidence is in them echoing just one single cherry-picked policy, in a misrepresented way, while conveniently ignoring all their other far more numerous left-leaning policies.
