I think it depends how good you need the translation to be.

I’d say current automation is ‘good enough’ for most cases, but you wouldn’t rely on it for translating a contract and it would probably still miss a lot of slang and local dialects.

I think Little Snitch does a good job, but it would be easy to see any leaks at the router/hardware firewall if there's a real concern.

Edit: I actually decided to set up a tunnel, just to see how well it worked, and it turns out my ISP supplied router won't forward the protocol 41 packets anyway, so that's a total no-go.

I'd love to embrace ipv6, but my ISP's official line, for as long as I can remember, is 'planning it, details to come'.

I don't expect them to move forward on it until significant sites become ipv6 only as they've admitted that they have more than enough ipv4 addresses for their subscriber base, so there's very little incentive for them to do anything atm.

According to the ticket I got, the VPSes are going up 20% but the backup price isn't changing, so your new bill will be around $696/mo, an increase of $1,152/yr.

The main alternatives in the budget cloud space are Digital Ocean, Vultr, OvH etc - they're all similarly priced for the equivalent servers, but I wouldn't be surprised if they all start increasing their prices to match - DO especially as they recently laid off a load of employees.

Does this mean we can expect similar announcements from the other budget cloud providers (they all seem to be around the same price points) or is it time to jump?
