I'm the founder who bought the testimonial.io domain.
You really underestimated the value of a SaaS, with 6 subs contributing $3,600 ARR, a business will have the chance to be sold 10x at $36k. I can easily recoup my investment from an exit offer, and the domain itself has its investment value too.
Look things forward, not backward! A twitter account has 43k followers today maybe will have 430k followers next year.
429 is fine, even Cloudflare has an outage just a few days ago. For me, it's just learn the lesson, fix the bug by simply upgrading the plan, then move forward :)
OP here. The tool is free to collect text testimonials from your customers. You can add your curated tweet shoutouts into the wall too. New users can get 5 video credits for free!
100 believe! The thing is I don't know what the impact would be if I take the outside money. I don't really need the money, but if an angel could really help boost my business, I would definitely think about it.
Most of the traffic comes from Product Hunt and Twitter. I'd share my update very frequently in my tweets. Also, I will study who is my initial paying customer, so I get to know which industry has potential market, then I just go after/outreach those potential users in particular area.
I solely started https://testimonial.to 2 weeks ago, and it generated over $5k revenue for me since its launch. I wouldn't say success, but at least it's my best launch ever.
Well, the website is an app to help collect video testimonials for your businesses. I offered a lifetime deal, all my revenue is from the lifetime deal. Now the deal is gone. In 2021, I will be only focus on recurring revenue. Start all over again :)
Updated my reply above, we do support one-line embed code now, which means you can place your customer's video testimonial anywhere, whatever is Webflow, Carrd, Weebly, or anything.
For now, there is no such embedded link feature. Will put it on my todos. But all videos are downloadable in mp4 format. You can upload to youtube or vimeo so that you can get an embeddable link ;)
There is no webflow integration, but you can create a link for your product so that your customers can go there to record testimonials. Simply put the link in your footer, header or wherever you think is appropriate ;)
