Mozilla uses django for many of our web apps, and there's a django app that integrates Persona (formerly called BrowserID). Take a look at the repo, and if you have questions, ask in the #webdev IRC channel mentioned in the readme.

It is part of the Marketplace (bundled app store) in Firefox OS. I don't believe Persona is the main identity system in Firefox OS at the moment, but it's very possible it could be in a future version.

Yes, this. There have been 800,000 bugs filed for all groups within Mozilla. We use bugzilla for managing projects and tasks (ex: a request for the Firefox 8th birthday cake graphic in the blog post). It's not just for tracking Firefox bugs. We use it for just about everything.

Sadly, I haven't received such a physical object after working at Mozilla for 3 years. When I joined though, we did have over 1 million users per paid staff member. That is a lot of responsibility.

Even though there's not an Austin office (yet), you should still apply. A significant portion of paid staff work from their homes, hacker spaces or cafes. I worked remotely for Mozilla for 9 months before I moved to the Bay Area.

Mozilla full-time contributor here. I agree they need to do what they're doing - silent updates are super important for the product right now given the new release cycle.

It's important that Mozilla does differentiate though. Firefox is the only browser that's made by a non-profit organization and puts your interests before business interests. Other browsers can't say that - they all have financial incentives and other agendas for you to use their product. Firefox provides choice so you have full control over your browsing experience.

The Aurora channel, which is the code that will soon become Firefox 7, has some pretty big memory improvements.
