Locally 3g was the most reliable. I think we're working backwards in accessibility of the network. It seemed just a few years ago, all we needed was a tower every so often, now we have towers and microcells. Is it a capacity issue or have we pushed into a spectrum that is more suited to dense cities rather than less dense towns?

I feel my attention at work has gotten worse, the ability to focus has decreased. Sure, part of it is caused by my phone (gotta keep the music/background noise going oh and might as well glance at reddit) but ALOT of it is being a senior engineer.

It is my place to be asked questions throughout the day and I'd rather be asked questions than not. It takes me out of the zone and Sometimes it feels as though my mind is juggling 3+ tasks at once because of the questions I've been asked. I've learned through interaction with reality that some programmers need a bit more guidance when it comes to tasks, some will dig down the correct paths, some will dig down the incorrect paths, and some will just stop and wait for help (which is ok). I feel that at times I've done a poor job of guiding some people.

There have been days where I might actually start work on my individual tasks 5-6 hours into the day and staying late after everyone leaves is key to getting back in the zone and solving a problem.

When I first saw this I figured it was going to be about what it does to the team, that managers don't seem to get. I was told once, after losing half the team, that they didn't want to lose momentum.

My problem with macOS is that I bought a mac expecting free OS updates. However since my macbook is my desktop killer, I have multiple external monitors connected with USBC to HDMI adapters. Everything I have seen since Big Sur indicates external monitors are iffy in big sur. I'm sorry, I'm not wrecking my environment because apple hasnt seen fit to fix external monitors in over a year.

Water bottles, hats, shirts.

Team: "What are we accelerating to meet?" PM: "Just because, do I need to talk to your manager?" Team: ... PM: goes home at normal hours

I just feel exhausted with scrum. Everything feels like yet another status report and "Why isn't it done yet?" I think we all may have bit into agile as process that revolutionized process because we have this natural tendency to value process and think that is getting us closer to if not the product.

When they cost as much as they do, is it really a surprise that a good portion of people don't want to replace them every other year? I would like to be one of the people replacing theirs every year or every other year and while I could afford it, I can't justify the expenditure. Add to that the fact that most phones purchased within the past couple of years remain performant enough for most people.

This seems to be one of the more negative opinions. Its in the top 4 or 5 Star Trek series IMO. Individually, in my book, some of the episodes rank with the best Science Fiction. Everyone will have their own opinion but here is what I think the best episodes have been so far.

ep 4 - "If the Stars Should Appear"

ep 5 - "Pria"

ep 10 - "Firestorm"

ep 11 - "New Dimensions"
