Software Development as Advanced Damage Control

For the first time, IDA Freeware ships with a cloud-based, free decompiler for x64 binaries (the decompiler requires an internet connection, and lacks some of the more advanced features that the commercial decompiler provides.)

It's interesting to see that they are opening up the decompiler to free users. It seems as though competition from Ghidra has pushed them to reconsider some of their previous decisions.

Is the art more interesting to look about than to talk about?

That is an interesting perspective. I have always judged art by its aesthetics and its ability to elicit thought / conversation equally.

In my view art becomes shallow when it is purely visually appealing with no conceptual backing or purely conceptual with uninteresting visual components.

https://glitch.com is also excellent. I’ve been using it to teach a website development workshop to 10-15 year olds and it’s the most intuitive interface I’ve found so far for those with no prior experience with HTML/CSS/JS.
