I was thinking of maybe offering a $20 weekly prize (same concept used by australian wesbite OZbargain.com.au in early days) for the highest voted deal of the week.

Dreamhost and Bluehost seem to provide unlimited bandwith on their shared plans for around $9/mo. I was thinking of moving to them myself. But not sure if the shared hosting will meet your needs,

Can you add medals similar to wii fit, pc games and foursquare? This might add to the fun factor and help in people feeling more like they have achieved something.

So the more you use the better you do the more medals you get. Then people can show off their workout stats and medals on their blogs.

I partly agree. For example: I don't see any code revisions been maintained for the changes which for any big development firm will be annoying.

I think there is a lot of changes that can be done to make this a better solution. But as it stands if being used by a small company I can see some merits.

However, I would be cautious about putting something in a beta stage on any site with enough value.

From what I can tell looking at cssedit there is couple of differences here

Is this possible (maybe a business idea here esp. for macs since they don't have virus scanners generally running) :

A phone home virus which you can drop into your dropbox and give it your sudo password. It can do funky stuff like install preyproject silently.

My personal view :

Having recently been through the nightmare of planning my own wedding I don't see myself using this site.

The problem I see is if someone sends a suggestion they have spent some time thinking about it and it will feel be harsh turning down their suggestion. Although it might work with very close friends.

Few twists that I think may work: A free gift registry where you can add items by scanning the barcode using your iphone/android phone. Also you could potentially use information on what other people have in their registry to give ideas to people on what they can add to their registry. Also maybe do a price search and provide suggestions on where people can buy a product and get affiliate money from purchases.

PS: I might not be your target market so don't let this demotivate you just providing my honest personal opinion.
